I tried them on in the store and thought way too stiff... But I bought them because I heard they were good after the break in. I got home tonight and walked on the treadmill. That didn't help but them I scrunged them together and they felt much much better. Just wanted to share this with you guys. Now they feel much better and I'm ready to go on the court!

These are a very finicky shoe indeed.
It takes a few weeks, scrunging them together is good because the initial crease where they bend can tear your cartilege apart in the beginning.

yeah on mine on the crease it would pop down and hit the joint on my pinky toe and eventually it brused pretty bad, but they softened up after a week and a half, now I absolutly love them. IMO they are much more cushioned and supportive than the CB's

CB's gave me really bad arch pain so then I went to the Vapor V's and bought two pairs; 12 and 12.5. In two months I've outgrown them and can't find anymore...

I just returned them so the store to return and get a new pair because the upper got really bent out of shape and made the part around my ankle really really wide

I own both and the difference is far too obvious. The Vapors are much more stable, and the support depends on what kind you are looking for. I love both, anyway.

Hold one shoe in both hands and bend the shoe to simulate the foot agressively stepping.
The point at which the shoe bends, especially when the Vapors are new, create a painful dagger like stabbing sensation on the foot.

Oh, ok. I have a pair of the black/red US Open night match version, and I have not experienced that. A bit stiff at first, but feel pretty good now that I have worn them 5-6 times.

I tried to reterun them and they wouldn't let me cause its the nature of the shoe is what they said. The ankle opening is really bent out of shape... Guess I'll hvae to play with it like that ...

Mine just created a nice dagger where the crease meets the top of the foot and caused insane pain for a few matches.
I dunno, I have a love-hate relationship with these V6.

My experience on how to break-in the Vapor VI is wear a pair of very thick socks, then play for 4 hour, 2 days in row...that's if you can withstand the pain for the 1st few hours...

I did the 2 pair of sox thing for a while.
My feet felt very dull, like wearing a glove on your hand while playing. If only the V6 had more cushioney interiors like the CB. But, the V6 is not a grinders shoe.

Wonderful the thing in the middle of the tounge that you weave the laces through is unraveling. Looks like a got a bad batch. The store said I have to send them in to Nike and they will not give me another one.

I rec'd mine yesterday and wore them around for a few hours. At first, they were stiff and I thought they might not be very comfortable, even after breaking them in. However, these shoes have settled in nicely and feel very comfortable. However, the true test will be when I wear them on court.

i'd have to respectfully disagree. After a month the lunarlite in the CB's broke down and had no cushion and my feet would always ache after playing, and now with the vapor they feel like pillows under my feet. now no aches or pains with the vapors once they were broken in.
