Looks like a grommet strip is in there to me and not individual grommets.

Also the last post on Memphis said this:
As mentioned, there have been a few "Blackout" frames come through which is not uncommon since many players get new contracts at the beginning of the year and some are either negotiating are still looking for their perfect frame. Some of the frames are quite easy to identify and some are a mystery. As a matter of policy we don't disclose the info. We stencil the racquets with the logo requested by the player and the racquets are logged as BLACK PROTOTYPE on our records.
How thin was his old beam? That beam looks pretty thin to me.

I was thinking the same thing, but I wasn't quite sure, so I didn't want to say anything (for fear that all the TW posters would come down on me like Thor's Hammer)...

Ya the "Gusta***raphics" link on flickr is my account, it looks like the tennis forum word checker is flagging out f - a - g in any combination. Sorry, go to flickr and search for "chasing photography" all my Blake shots are up there.

Was curious last night myself as Blake was carrying a Dunlop bag, but his racquet is black with lead at 3 & 9.

Is that CelluarSouth logo not a "modified" Adidas logo?? (Next to last pic in previous post) I sense a trademark infringement lawsuit in the near future.

Blake is a sponsorship train wreck. The Fila clothes don't look bad but they should have featured the classic "F" and underscored it with the TR logo. My guess is that he's using a Dunlop. Who else makes a beam that thin?? That's gotta be at least 18mm thin.

I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday. At first i thought it was Adidas sponsoring the event but then saw the Nike logo on another panel.

it could be, it couldn't be.

I feel bad for Blake, this is a hard time to go through this phase. I personally wish him the best, but wouldn't be surprised if he starts throwing the kitchen sink at his opponents to salvage whats left of his career

I wonder if it's worse to be unable to pull off your game anymore (blake) or just have it stop working (hewitt, though injuries are a huge issue for him)

Thanks for posting your photos up and thanks for confirming that Blake was carrying a Dunlop Bag.

No need to over think this guys...he's using a Dunlop bag - and it looks like it's the same old Dunlop tour mold he's been using for years. Seems like he's headed back to Dunlop if they can make a deal.

All this talk of "dropping" doesn't take into account how clothing deals work. They sign a contract for a set period of time, and pay a predetermined amount. It's not like he's on an hourly or weekly wage. So the contract lasts that long unless one or both parties breaks the terms of the agreement. Unless there are performance guarantees written in, there's no way for them to "drop" him. And even if they could, they'd still have to pay him the same amount, so it would be pointless.

Agreed.

Although the outfit looks pretty good, I would never buy it. I generally don't like prominently displayed logos on my gear but I've come to accept that there's no way of avoiding it. But these outfits don't have 1, they have 2 logos! Plus the TR is in honor of Blake's father. Thomas Reynolds Blake may have been a good dude and it's nice to see Blake honoring him, but why in the world would I want to wear clothing named after him?

From the pics I would say you might be right. Looks very much like redondo.

I would agree. Blake always seemed most comfortable with his old Dunlop mold.

There is no way that is a blade 93. No way. At all. Way too big.

It's his old Dunlop if I had to bet.
