HI,
I recently started using the theraband flexbar for my tennis elbow and it worked. However, I noticed when i used the flexbar, it kind of hurt my hand as i relaxed my right hand to let the preload on the flexbar dissipate. If you do the Tennis Elbow excercise, you hopefully know what I am talking about. Maybe I put too much of a preload on the flexbar (the medium/green bar)? I also notice a pain as I twist the flexbar to put the preload on it. (video on how to do the TE excercise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV-RjM_Y_hc) Anyhow, my hand hurts during and after tennis now. The pain is generally located along/near where my index finger is attached to my hand...between my first knuckle and wrist. Tennis elbow is gone though. Any ideas on how to fix this? Do i need to stop with the flex bar and go back to wearing my tennis elbow strap around my forearm? Any excercise or massage that would help? Last edited by blakesq : 02-21-2010 at 04:56 AM. |

Moderation.
It sounds like you need to stop with the flexbar for a little bit, then start up slowly to a level slightly less than you were using it before. Also there are dumbell wrist curls, reverse curls and rotational exercises that won't mimic, but instead compliment the Flexbar to prevent a recurrence of your tennis elbow. |
