The fallen player and butterflies represent dream (notice they are golden) and the constant battle to improve and to grow, to get better and fly higher. Butterflies go through different and very interesting stages of cultivation and so do tennis players(the ones that do, eventually).

This is very traditional and dry, in my opinion. This would do well in a gallery representation with a predefined theme, as a contest for example after some big news or event in tennis. But for a tennis tournament that tries to be exciting and create a fun environment this would not do. I would prefer to see something more modern, something more attractive to the youth.

I touched on the fallen player. Fall is a sign of weakness, defeat and failure. Remember pictures of Nadal fallen on center court at RG filled the net after his defeat.

After each fall though, optimistically speaking, there should be a rise. Notice the butterflies immediately around his body are small, but they grow bigger as they rise higher, showing maturity and success.
And eventually they get smaller again and fade away, just like any tennis player at the end of his or her career.
