No, I haven't. It is $120 (it's Maria-ware, remember?). If it goes on sale, maybe it could be had for $80. Still more than I like to pay . . . .

Cindy, you are right. The fabric is kind of thin so I don't want it too tight. The style is very nice and it fits me well. I also like the Fila dress but I couldn't find my size.

Cindy, it's so very very helpful to have you confirm my suspicions about the paneling on the white addidas!
I like plain dresses, so I might try it when it goes on sale. (my concern with the noticeable paneling is that is might be too much contrast, and I like dresses as plain and simple and classic as possible.) also, now that topaz reminds me, I am going to invest in the bolle shorts. |

Yikes! Sorry, didn't realize! Perhaps a pro shop nearby sells Bolle?

CrystalClear,
Nice to hear of your purchase. I'm still waiting for my pink one to arrive, then I'll decide what to do. I've seen the Adidas white dress on a couple of pro players recently, and it looks very good on all of them. Do check in once you've played a match in it and tell us how it performs. Inga, yes those Bolle compression shorts are the best I have found, although I admit I haven't tried anything else for a while now.

I dont think it needs to be worn with a shirt or anything else, looks fine as it is. Might get a bit of a draft if there is some wind, but nothing that would offend a gentleman.

Had a chance to check out the Adilibria and Nike dresses in person this past weekend at Cincy. The Adilibria fabric is sooo nice. They had the Serena Nike Wimbledon dress there in black, but not in my size (booo). The new Maria dress is very cute, and again, really nice fabric.

Are you thinking of getting one of these, Topaz? Which one?
I put on six pounds -- yes, six -- during my beach vacation. You sit around on your behind 24/7 eating carmel corn and Boardwalk Fries and that's what happens. None of my dresses will look right until I lose every ounce, so they are hanging in the closet until further notice.

Ha!!
At first, I was nervous about wearing the dress. Didn't want to appear "All hat, no cattle," ya know? I'm over that now. I like wearing the dresses for mixed. It just seems right, somehow. If I can squeeze into the dress, I go with that. If it doesn't look perfect, then back into the closet it goes and I wear a skirt.

^I really like the pink one in the middle. It is unusual because it nips in at the waist more than any other I have tried. I like that, but if that's not your thing it might not work.
I've looked high and low for this one (by Tail, but discontinued), but I haven't been able to find one in my size: ![]() Good luck, and keep us posted!!!

Say, what do we think of Jerdog? I've never tried any of their stuff, but it always seems to catch my eye. They are one of the few manufacturers doing things with prints. I like how their dresses have the adjustable cami straps.

Naw...I am two different sizes top and bottom, so I do best with separates. I already don't wear the dresses I do have.
I really liked the Adilibria separates...in the dark purple.

I'm not crazy about the jerdog stuff. women wearing it on the court look like they're in pajamas.
cindy, I love that red tail dress. I have a similar Tail in white, and it's the one I wear all the time. where DO people go to get discontinued stuff? where do all the leftovers go? |

I have a few Jerdog separates that I always get compliments on The fabric is a swimsuit-type material, and it's a blue tie dye-ish pattern with some lavender here and there. That said, I almost never see anything else I like from them, because the fabric selections seem completely out of touch. I also love the adjustable cami straps - or I did, until the hardware on mine snapped in two when I was wearing it. And believe me, that piece of plastic was not under any special stress!
Edited to add: I do sort of like the print on that last Jerdog dress in Cindysphinx's post - in a '50s tablecloth kind of way. But the placement of some of the dark pink flowers is... unfortunate. |

Cindy, I don't think I have ever directed a post directly at you but I want you to know that I enjoy reading your threads and posts. Although I am a man that WISHES his wife would play tennis (I know she would be HHHOOOTTT in some of these dresses), I still enjoy reading the opinions of you and Inga and the other ladies on this forum because it gives me an idea of what women want in clothes. You ladies are the bomb!!!

^Hey, thanks!! That's really sweet of you!!
I have to say, I didn't know how interesting tennis apparel can be until I started thinking about it. But honestly. I think I speak for a lot of women when I say our needs are simple. We don't want anything that is uncomfortable, hot, revealing, ill-fitting, lumpy, matronly, adds weight, hard to wash, requires ironing, or draws attention to our Least Favorite Areas. How hard is that? Oh, and I feel your pain about your wife not being interested in tennis. My husband just will not give tennis a chance and finds it deadly dull to watch and to play. Other than that, he's great!
