By the time he's out of college, He'll also have progressed, I'm sure of that. He'll be a better player, and of course it's not the same as playing with the pros, but that's not the most important. There are several examples of players who went to college, and were able to make it 2, 3 or 4 years later. The most important is to have the desire to win and to have the right attitude (and of course stay injury free). I think Brad knows where he's going, so I think he'll have a good chance at getting there.

yes they are playing the bryans. entertaining match. Klahn is showing some very good things for a non-pro! He seems to be more solid and has a better serve than his partner.

The only way other NCAA players would fear Klahn is if Mrs. Klahn had sextuplets and they made up the entire Stanford top 6. Other than that, Klahn's major existence in college tennis revolves around a week in May 2011 where everybody will be gunning for him.

If Klahn can repeat, congrats to him, but I'm not counting on it. I wish Somdev and Klahn could play each other sometime soon.

May be relevent, may be not. I'm still impressed with Klahn's score with Sam and his doubles win.

Bradley Klahn #3 in pre-season rankings ???????? What is this world coming to ?
STANFORD, Calif.- Both Stanford tennis programs are well-represented in the preseason edition of the Campbell/ITA national rankings, highlighted by five players from both teams on the singles side. 2010 NCAA Singles champion Bradley Klahn is ranked No. 3 overall, joined in the top-50 by Alex Clayton at No. 46. Ryan Thacher checks in at No. 59, Greg Hirshman is No. 110 and Denis Lin appears at No. 125. Stanford's top doubles team of Klahn and Thacher is ranked No. 2 while the pairing of Clayton and Hirshman ranks No. 55. On the women's side, Hilary Barte has been a fixture among the top-10 throughout her career and is tabbed No. 2 in the preseason. Mallory Burdette is ranked No. 21 while Stacey Tan is rated No. 46. Freshmen Kristie Ahn (No. 1) and Nicole Gibbs (No. 5) appear in the freshman singles rankings. The duo of Barte and Burdette is ranked No. 3, and the tandem of Ahn and Gibbs comes in at No. 58. |

Realistically, anyone in the top 6 is going to be a favorite. There ain't much that separates these guys.

Ranking systems account for more than one tournament. That's like saying you deserve to be number 1 in the world after winning one grandslam...

btw, UVA has 5 players in the main draw of the ITA all-american (four guys in the top-30 plus the #1 freshman in Domjian)...besides the host school with its wildcard having 3, no other program has more than 2 FedAce, still think Stanford can beat that team? btw Duke and its #1 dubs team (read: not Klahn and Thacher) are better than the continually regressing cardinals this year too, sorry, you guys had a good run that some of us that are alive can still remember |
