Hi Albert

tournament ok so far but then it's only the qualies, and practice at Wimbledon.

Clamps are looking good. solid and gripping well without overtightening them

regards
Paul

OK, so what's the scoop on the Prince machines. Is it a retrofit fix or are there some machines out there with less than optimal clamps?

The clamps we had last year weren't good so we reverted to Babolat clamps. This year, apparently, they've be made to withstanding the rigers of tournament stringing. Def more solid.

Regards

Paul

Do prefer certain stringing machines over others? Or does that not matter compared to the quality of the clamps?

Definitely following on Twitter. Thanks ahead of time!

In light of a thread being deleted, I thought I'd bump this one up so that the people interested in the info can continue to discuss it.

Please keep in friendly so we can retain this thread.

Cheers

Paul

Just one question. Who's racket was strung the tightest at the tournament? And also, how tight was it? Thanks...

Cant comment on that as no time to weigh them.

Possible Venus @ 68lbs with natural gut with manual prestretch, but Serena was having hers @ 66obs with 10% machine prestretch. Their frames are also 18x19 so quite a dense pattern too.

Regards

Paul

I read in tennis.com that the Wimbledon head stringer said that they would get through at 7 or 8 sets of gut during one match.
