Thin insole replacement for Nike Zoom Breathe 2K10?

Hi. Unfortunately I have developed some kind of painful blister on the top of my big toe as a result of using the Sof Sole Arch insole replacement in the Nike Zoom Breathe 2K10. This Sof Sole model was the only model available at Sports Authority.

I presume that the insole is raising my toe to the point that it's scraping the bottom of the roof of the sneaker.

Can anyone recommend a good thin insole with some cushioning? I found that the original Nike insoles did not provide enough cushioning.

I was previously wearing the NB 1004 with Spenco Cross Trainer insoles. They did not fit properly in the Nike pair. They were lifting me out of the sneaker. They weren't the best in the NB 1004 model either.

I see that Sof Sole carries a Thin Sport model and I'm going to try to find it or order it online. Any other recommendations? Thanks.

Check with New Balance...they have 'sport' or 'athletic' models that are a bit thinner. I don't have the model # info nearby. Also, plenty of Nike shoes I've purchased had really skinny sock liners...I replaced them all with NB or SoftSole. Perhaps you have an older pair of sport shoes stuck in a closet...might have the thin insoles you're looking for.

Also, if you wear Thorlo(or similar), try some thinner socks until you find the insole you're looking for. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips Coachrick. I picked up a couple different styles yesterday including Superfeet Blue http://www.superfeet.com/products/Blue.aspx and Spenco Gel Total Protection. http://www.spenco.com/gel_3.shtml

So far, I've only put the Spenco ones in my Nike Zoom Breathe 2K10 around the house to start and they're VERY comfortable. Hopefully, I won't slide around later when I play in them.

If they work out, I'll return the Superfeet model which was also $15 more.

My reaction to the Superfeet model was also with doubt because when I checked it in the store it has a very hard piece at the bottom of the forefoot which you could knock on and I can't imagine how that could be comfortable. However, I decided to pick it up because at that store that was the only thin one there.

At a another store later, I ran into the Spenco Gel Total Protection.

What type of arch do you have? I go with sof sole for all of my shoes. I have the arch supports for my casual shoes and then for tennis I use their orthotics. Btw i have flat feet

TennisKid1, I'm not sure but they're probably medium/normal.

I tried playing with the Spenco Gel Total Protection. It felt great until the end of the first match at which time the irritation returned for my next 2. I picked up some Dr. Scholl's Blister Treatment cushions, Blister Defense anti-friction stick and adhesive tape.

I'm not sure if I'm going to play with the Spenco insoles anymore.

I may try the Superfeet Blue that I got yesterday.

I may have to give up on these sneakers.

If you want an insole that'll take the pounding, get a High Density Insole.
Depending on the shoe, if it's a NB, only need a 3/4 length. NB has the most arch support.
