Dude, color has little to no effect on the outcome of your match.

That is some of the biggest bull I have read on the internet. Seriously, coming from national geographic? Now I will wear red for all my matches. Federer, I am coming for you!

Wearing pink gives you about the same chance of winning as defaulting outright.

A) they weren't studying tennis matches
B) the study's sample was only 2004 Olympic matches
C) You're equally likely to win wearing red OR blue, it just so happened that more guys won wearing red DURING THAT STUDY.

Example) Wear red. Flip a coin 5 times. Say you got 5 heads. Wear blue, flip a coin 5 times. Say you got 2 heads, 3 tails. OMG! Wearing red will make you flip heads all the time! Well, no. It randomly happened to be 5 heads. Randomness is clumpy. If both opponents in the study were equal, red winning more is just a statistical anomaly. If you look at all matches in all sports across years, I doubt there will be any effect on red vs blue (or color).

on thursday I got crushed by a friend 6-0, 6-3. 6-2. Worst defeat in a while. I was playing full white.

2 or 3 days before that match y played in almost red to my same friend and lost in the 5th set super tiebreak 10-7 (I even bagled him a set)

I find those studies interesting and kind of funny at the same time. Its hard to imagine a color making even the tiniest difference but people get intimidated by all manner of mannerisms and gamemanship tactics so who knows? Is it really beyond the scope of possibility? I'll hang my hat on practice and ability but...I might take a closer look at those red shirts next time.

After all, its worked pretty well for Tiger on Sundays for quite a few years now.

I've always kinda wondered though about the other studies/articles I've read about the color red causing feelings of aggression and anger...if I'm looking at a guy on the other side of the net wearing red...shouldn't that fire me up?

I have a pair of black and grey plaide shorts that are the same for me....

The look awesome, but I think I've only won two matches while wearing them......

It is a proven fact that wearing pinstripes dramatically increases your odds of winning.
