Very possible although he also took a serious decline at this stage last year.
Wimbledon, Olympics and USO 2012 maybe burnt him out even more this time.

Mentally Murray isn't like the other 3 and Del Po, He freaks out, crumbles under pressure, today was just another example, but he has to thank Lendl, to me that is the difference in his game and mentality, he has changed a lot, now that he won one he should be a lot more laid back, in any situation which hasn't been the case, 1st set no whining or crying like before, after that, same old Murray, hence the result.

That can't be used as an excuse, because Federer and Djokovic have played a lot (maybe more than everybody else) this year, yet they still have shown mental strength and come out on the top of the rest in this last tournament.

Not sure I agree. You think about it. You lose your fourth slam final at Wimbledon in an extremely emotional manner then go on to win your biggest tournament at the Olympics three weeks later at the same venue against the same opponent in the same 5 set format then back it up with a 1st slam win after a very difficult path to the final in a grueling 5 sets against one of the toughest players in the history of tennis, Djokovic, outlasting and outplaying him.
That's a huge display of mental strength. Bound to be draining.

It will be interesting to see if he can win a Slam again next year. Straight after the US win I thought he was odds on to at least win another Slam in 2013. With the monkey off his back I expected him to be a bit more relaxed and positive, basically less of a headcase. However, his performances since the US Open have not shown this to be true so far.

Murray is Loved by everyone across the world. One of his fans wrote this today. It was NOT me.

"" I think you are the most likeable tennis player there is. You have true passion for the game and it shows naturally. Show it again next year please Andy! It's a real treat to watch you play with everything you've got ""

If by "the world" you mean this:

And this:

Nobody gives a flying f about Murray. The world loves Federer and to a lesser extent Nadal/Djokovic.

It's nothing special, just another reminder that long term class beats short term form.

If they each play at the same percentage of their abilities Federer wins every time against Murray. It's just Federer seems to not bring it against Murray as often as he could have historically.... Murray is sneakily unnerving in the match-up with Federer' because he has a Federer-esque trait - he can be playing not all that spectacular but still be doing enough to win.

Now don't put yourself down. I wouldn't say you were a 'nobody' although maybe I'm just being kind!

Apparently thousands of tennis fans gave a flying f about Murray when they voted him their second favourite ATP player after Federer.

I'm pretty sure that not all of them came from Scotland!

And did Murray "bring it" everytime he lost to Federer?
It's impossible to say who would win when on top form. Murray baggled a perfectly fit Nadal in Tokyo in the final set for the loss of only four points last year and at the Olympics consecutively straight setted Djokovic and Federer playing near flawless tennis. Yes Federer wasn't great there but not any worse than the awful Murray we saw last night.
How can you possibly tell if both players were on form who would come out on top?
Certainly Federer has been able to hold a prime/peak level far better than Murray as testament to his career but when both players are on you simply can't say.
Like it or not Murray is a multiple Masters, Olympic and now Slam champion so we're not talking about an ordinary player here.
