Default David Nalbandian Gear ATM

I've followed a lot of topics in the past speculation what racquet nalbandian was using...
Most of us concluded that he uses a yonex (isometric head shape), 98sq and the racquet is extended.

As for strings he was using BB Original around 60lbs.

If you know something more about his gear please post.

I have a close up pic of his racquet from the Legg Mason Tennis classic. Once I figure out how to upload, I will.

As far as I know he changed to the new RDIS mold as the grip- throat union (don't know how to name it, ¿¿neck??) has a small difference from the the previous models. I've been told that is a heavy frame.

Previous general consensus was that he was using a frame based on the RDX500 HD (midplus).

Check this one out. You can take a real good look at his frame.

Picture is too big to insert directly so I've made a link.

I'll go out on a limb and say it's an RDiS MP mold extended to 28 or 28.5in but with a more flexible layup.

Re the length, a Yonex rep told me it was 28.5 but I've not seen that confirmed elsewhere.

Re string and tension. Used BBO for ages but has been dropping tension, from a high of 64lbs down to the low 50s now according to more recent string logs.

That's all I know anyway, would be interested to get more certain info.

This guy is the hottest player on tour, more so than Cilic.

I saw the stringer taking Nalby's freshly strung stick into the stadium yesterday right before the final: I almost took him out and made a run for it

Looking back in Indian wells 09, he was using BBO at 53/53 and at Miami in 09, he was using it at 46/46 and also 48/48. Just checked the Indian Wells log for 2010 and he was BBO at 50/50.

BC, on a side note both Davide and Marcos look ALOT thinner in person then on tv. I was really shocked at Marcos: much fitter and leaner in "the flesh". The angles Nalby was getting off the BH was just sick

It has to be an RDiS by the look of the material above the logo at the top of the grip as that is not on previous Yonex models.

A few people have stated that racquets come out of their primeval stew around 29" and then are cut to size.

I think Gilbert referred to them as "teletubbies."
