Don't you find it odd that so many players use extended frames yet most players frames sold to us are standard length?

@Auto: don't forget that many pro's still using standard rackets too, and you can buy extends...

That looks like his old weapon, the Tour Diablo.
Maybe he blackened them so that his girlfriend who plays college tennis and plays with the Diablos also doesn't mistakenly pick up his racquets. r, eagle

^^ Yep.
Unless this is one of the old Experimentals that Jennifer Capriati was using prior to the racquet getting the Diablo name and paintjob. http://www.tribuneindia.com/2003/20030625/sp9.jpg See review of the racquet here: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Revi...PTDReview.html r, eagle

Equijet, Your photo of the Prince experimental testing mold of the what was to become Malisse's custom Diablo is very nice. To add to this tapestry, I am posting photos of the Malisse finished product. The photos are of Malisse's Diablo as well as Dudi Sela's Diablo (pre-Head days). I will once again ask my friend good friend Ericsson to assist me in posting the photos. One more thing, the spec of Malisse's Diablo's are: weight over all- 311 gr. balance- 318 length- 28 Enjoy RacquetCraft |

If you are old enough to remember the first Prince, you might have been one who felt it looked "short". We overlooked few, want a 28'' frame, no lead needed to get the swing weight up.

It's a fairly simple case of math on the part of the racquet companies. When extended racquets were considered "new technology" everyone sold them, but the category has since cooled at retail. Now, it's simpler and cheaper for them to just sell one length, except with models where there's a specific demand for extended versions. The fewer SKUs they have to make, the more they keep their costs down, and the less likely they are to get stuck with old frames in inventory.
