I just played the 200 tour this week and its great. It is definitely more head heavy than the blx 95. the serves were very crisp and could really get good pop and power ( something the blx 95 18x20 was missing) I strung this racket with NG 17 on mains with multi on the crosses. the touch game was superb because of the stability that came from the weight and its distribution. the ground game was great with heavy balls, very comparable to the blx 90 to which I hit on occasions. the best part is that the sweet spot is very generous especially with my string set up. I have added about 4in of lead tape at 9-11 and 1-3. I like it a little more top heavy for returning big serves and pounding the ground game. Overall the racket has more control than the blx 95 16x18 and has been working out great this week.

The tour is def less demanding than the blx 90. it's a little less weight and has a lower swing weight. The dunlop 200 tour cuts the air a little better. as far as the difference between the 200 and 200 tour i do not know because I havent hit the normal 200. My main experience is between the blx 95's 16x18 and 18x20
I really prefer the open pattern 16x19. the 200 tour is 16x18 but its tighter in the middle like a 16x19 frame. |

Recently got a chance to hit with the 200Tour and I agree it is less demanding than the BLX90. The 200T is actually quite similar to the 200 18x20 with respect to flex. The 350 SW of the 200 tour feels lighter to me. Overall I prefer the 18x20 cause it feels more controlled to me.

you gain a little control but loose some pop on the serves going to a 18x20. i like my serve with this racket and i'll deal with the extra juice on the groundies

Newest member to this club. I just made the switch, officially.
The first racquet I have not needed to add weight in the head to get my ~355 swingweight. I added a Dunlop Hydramax overgrip, and a couple grams in the handle, with rubber band dampener. New weight is 358 grams, and close to 7 pts headlight. Soft on the arm, power when you need it, and excellent accuracy. Best volleying racquet I have used.

My 200 4d arrived today, feels great just swinging it about a bit. Looks the business too. It will have to perform pretty well though if I'm to replace my Microgel Mid with it

I thought I would rescusitate this club and ask the members..... How's it going a year later????
The Bio200Tour is available here in Europe and I still remember my brief hit with the 4D200T... a memorable hit at that... Still want to find out if the specs TW has for the swingweight hold true.. (specs are not up yet for the Bio200T) ... 350's??? I always said... if there would one reason to switch from my PresMids.. it would be string choice... I'am kind of limited with my frames, in terms of choices, 90sq.in.-18x20. This frame (or similiar) would 'open-up' the possibilities for gauges and types.

If the Bio 200 Tour ends up being a few point more head light than the 4D, I'll be interested. I quit the 4D model due to the dip I had in serve speed. Plus it was impossible for me to hit reflex volleys well with that frame. Still one of the best frame I have hit with as far as ground strokes go...

Dropped tension to 44/40 using a Tornado-Hyperion hybrid in my 4D 200 Tours - never hit the ball better! Also put some extra weight inside the handle (Blue Tack adhesive putty) to get the balance up to 10-11 points headlight. Swings easy and allows me to take full cuts at the ball and, boy, is that a satisfying feeling with this stick! First serves are BIG, second serves lots of action, for the last couple of matches only hit one or two double faults per match and lots of first serve winners. With the more headlight balance and low tension vollying is a joy, lots of control, placement and backspin (used to play pure S&V back when I lived in Oz and played on grass all summer...). This stick is for keeps, can't imagine the biomimetic to be significantly better.

kaiser - how much weight did you add in the handle to make it a little more HL.....if i can make this racquet may be 8- 9HL this will be a dream stick for me......not being very strong I love the plow of the racquet but struggle hitting/killing low balls where heavy topspin needs a quick racquet head speed. |

^^^ Don't remember precisely, but was in the order of 8-10 g. Brought the total weight of the racket up to ~ 369 g / 13 oz. Swings and volleys more effortless. Have even been thinking of adding a little more weight inside the handle...

My racket of choice for some time now is the Aerogel 200 (18x20) and what I did today left me feeling as though I have commited adultery.
Was browsing a sports store today, the one in the UK which owns the Dunlop brand. What did I come across? Row upon row of 4Ds on sale. After excitedly looking through them all I found a 4D 200 Tour with case and brand new for £40. Sadly that was the only one there, all the others were 4D 200 16x19 for the same price. I thought about it for about 5 milliseconds then made the purchase. It will be justified as my main singles stick, and I will restring with one of the 5 packs of Beast XP I was sent to sample, hopefully before I play next on Sunday. In the meantime I will scout this thread and do some searches for setup choices. But in the meantime - if any of you guys have played extensively with the AG200 18x20 (non-4D) what are the comparisons like with the 4D Tour? My AG200s have leather grips, overgrips, dampeners and their weight is around 360g so the additional weight won't hurt me. I'm thinking that I will add a leather grip to my Tour because I love the feel, again can I ask if anyone has done this? Thanks in advance

^^^ I didn't put on a leather grip but did add 8-10 grams of blue tack adhesive putty inside the handle to bring the balance up to 10-11 point HL. Feels much more manoevarable and swings easy. Also dropped the tension to 44/40# in full poly (Tornado/Hyperion hybrid). To me this gave improvements all round: added touch, spin and control on all shots with the resulting ability to swing out freely on groundstrokes and serves, and I can tell you, that is a very satisfying experience with this stick...!

With regard to tension drop, I have gone as low as 36 before with some great results but slid back to mid 50s when my game went a bit erratic. Given that I'm used to a tighter string pattern I think I'm going to try full poly at mid 50s and go from there. My main focus is control although I loved the feel of low tensions.

It's been so long since my hit with the 200T....
To anyone who uses this frame... One Q... Does it feel lacking in weight below the throat? I'm wondering how they achieved a 352 sw with a static weight of 12.3oz. It seems as if they just reversed the weight from the handle to the hoop.

Maybe they polarized it more,...not necessaily from handle to hoop, but to the two distal ends.?..just a possibility,..it is a pretty high SW given the specs..
