Looking to get a new racquet. What to try? Is the kBlade 98 basically the same thing? Would like to stay in the Wilson family if possible, but I am open to other brands.

kblade98 is gonna be the closest. but the head radical mp is pretty similar. It's probably the 2nd most similar racket to the nblade. its just the kblade 98 is stiffer than the nblade

K Blade is a totally different animal. Trust me, I tried.
I think the only thing that I've tried so far and is similar is probably the MG Radical MP. But hey, you can always get another N Blade! Check out the boards. You can find a pretty good condition one for about $60.

I found very little difference between the nBlade 98 and the Liquidmetal Radical MP (China). Plus I always thought that the nBlade was basically the Wilson version of a Head style racquet.

the K Blade is different: its much stiffer and the swing weight is lower. Try the Head youtek radical, its similar balance and weight. You can also check Youtek prestige MP too, it heavier but the flex is similar. Dunlop 300 Tour is also an option.
You should explain which aspect of the nBlade you like the most ? If you like the "feel" then the new BLX technology is pretty googd. You can wait for the new BLX blades, they will be comming in January 2011 I think... |

Hey guys, sorry for bumping my own old thread, but the question remains. I bought another used Wilson n blade 98 to use, but now I'm ready to truly upgrade to a newer frame.
Anyone want to throw out up to four racquets that would be similar? I'm going to demo them from TW most likely first, since no one locally has nearly as good of a deal. |

What racket can you really "upgrade" to? Few match an NBlade even up to 7.0 playing levels.
Now, if you want to CHANGE a racket, that's entirely possible. |
