I am a lefty and keep getting a pull in my left calf muscle. They call this 'tennis leg'. I believe it comes from my kicker as I mostly launch a coil from the back leg. Maybe I am not up on my toes enough? Any suggestions as it has been nagging for four weeks and keeps me from playing as much as I want.

You can try serving on only your front foot, the right leg for you. (No, I'm partially kidding here). I've done it though when I rolled my ankle but decided to play out the match so the other guy wouldnt' feel bad. It still worked, lol.

This is a little off topic, but a link for papa and anyone else who has rolled their ankle
http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cy...bble_board.htm I sprained my ankle in basket ball a while ago and found I tended to roll my ankle abit in tennis when I shuffle left and right. I made a wobble board and have not rolled it for a since ... When I was researching it a while ago, I believe they said that a "duradisc" is better ... but they were expensive and I couldn't make one and I found no exercises on the net for it (may be if you ask Marius Hancu he might now |
