So the question is, who is worse him or you? Federer only states the obvious truths, not arrogance or overconfidence. For some reason you enjoy twisting the truth and obsessed with Federer. You need to go back and look at what Agassi, or Sampras says early on in his career....,.... They make Federer look like an angel.

What a pity. He lost.

It's HOW you say it,don't look at words alone. You're interpreting it the wrong way.

BTW, TwistServe, you're not a poster on the boards, you're a poser.

That's funny. Federer was on ESPN and smirked when he said "What a pity. Nadal lost." Pat McEnroe, Drysdale and Carillo almost wet themselves.

What if he said, "well, its too bad that he lost". Does that sound better? I think you guys need to give Fed a break once in a while. English isn't his first language and to have a mic shoved in his face all the time will eventually catch misspoken words.

I don't think it was in a vindictive way. Federer seems like a classy guy, and would seem to respect the young man's effort.

On the other hand, if he said it vindictively, it might say that Federer is afraid of Nadal.

After Gasquet beat him, Federer said on BBC America,
"It's bittersweet. I want revenge."
