Default Grip variation for Service

Hello everyone,

Of course, I use a continental grip for service.
But, a couple months ago I have done some little adjustments.
See the picture below.

The first one is the manner how I handled the grip before.

The second one is the current situation.

I've got more control and... power (?). The kick service is huge and the contact point is highest...

I would like to know your comments about the technical aspects of this.

Thanks in advance,
E.

hmm... seems like it is no longer continental.
You have switched to an EBH, or atleast partly between Conti and EBH

you should get more control and spin.. but power? .... may be due to an improved serve..

It's hard to tell with a 2D figure, could you possibly upload photos with you holding the racket?

Tell us where your base knuckle index finger is, that can help understand the grip more.

You have simply switched from a "hammer" grip (the first pic) to a "pistol" grip (the second pic). Both are easily usable, but I also feel like I get more spin off of the pistol grip than the hammer grip (although the hammer grip is more stable, hence why I use it on volleys).
