The question I wonder about is why does ANYBODY use 90-93 racquets.

Started out with a midsize, so it's hard to change. That and usually only midsize racquets are 12oz+

Well, most of the midsize racquets on the market are pretty unforgiving for my arm and it gets sore within 5 minutes of playing (ex: BLX, YOUTEK, Aerogel, etc.)

When I played with the Boris Becker Delta Core London Tour, it was very string sensitive and if you hit just a little off the mark, the ball would go out. Precision is crucial playing with this racquet (and choice of string).

Anyways, the average rec tennis player wants the "power" and "control" in a racquet, and most mid sizes out there can only generate "power" by the player.

As boring as it gets having this thread pop up every month, I'll throw in my 2 cents.

What mid is less than $150 when it first comes out? It takes forever for mids to drop into that price range (7 months at least from what I've seen so far). And considering there are only about 10 mids in the market, while there are dozens of MPs, it just makes things easier to get a MP in your price range than wait for the mid to drop.

Or you can shell out the money. But I'm not paying $200 for 7 square inches less on a racket when I can get another one for less money (hypothetically speaking).

Make your OWN decisions. Play with a selection of racquets and decide what is best for YOU.

Geesh... no wonder why racquet companies make millions..

Nope, I don't buy those overpriced injury-causing racquets. But I know you do because you clearly don't know what you want, meaning you are probably going to waste your money thinking that the racquet is what you want, but it really isn't...

Another racquet noob around here...

i use a mid size. it just tennis is changing and tennis companies wants to keep up with the current tennis generation. wooden racket have REALLY small headsizes in the past. compare to now, tennis players now hit harder and favor bigger head sizes so that they dont have to worry about framing it and needs forgiveness

i'm still using it today. currently using a k90. i did start out with the 100 sq in. But i didnt feel it was that precise. so i went to a 90 and it fit the bill for me. as long you adjust your body to the time of the ball, the unforgiveness shouldnt be a problem.

i started off with the rafa racket but i didn't like it. then got a wilson KBlade 98. it didn't feel to suit my game at all! so i got a 90 and i love it. but now it getting hard to win matches with the 90. sure i win but it take long then before. i'm playing with Division 1-2 player!....

i like the precision that the 90 has. the feel of the 90 is more solid than a bigger head size. my ex-coach tried to make me switch to a pure drive, however i resisted. he complains that the 90 requires lots of skill to use. I said that you have to take some time to get used to the 90.

that sounds good! happy for u man... i think i'll switch to the wilson BLX PS 100... u should try it if u ever got time. it feel really similar to the 90.u need to customize it. it really light!..... i play with the PS85,PS90,N90,K90,BLX90 and BLX PS 90 i added lead to all haha so it normal for me. people call me crazy but i think it nice with lead.
