@Ross K, this is off-topic, but I suspect your yahoo account might have been hacked.... I received something what seems to be a scam mail. I assume you did not get robbed in Milan last night, or did you?

Yellow tour is a touch more powerful, blue spin is a touch more spinny, I think its the same string just one has five sides. Excellent both but string low, I was stringing around 43lbs.....

Just saw this.

Funny you should mention it but I find this to be true as well. The result is that I burning through string quicker since the 329g swings a good deal faster.

My TB 1.25mm used to last 9 hours and it's breaking in 4 to 4.5 hours now.

^^^

Yep..main reason I wanted to go back to 18x20 for a bit to see how it goes. I rip through strings too fast with open patterns and light weights.

Haven't even hit with the Cyclone hybrid yet but im seriously contemplating a return to the grail - Gut/poly. It probably feels godlike in the wilson..oh man. Main concern is durability to cost ratio..but with the tighter pattern..would it work out?

Ross, my experience of the two Yonex strings is that the blue is lower powered than the yellow. I played the blue in a hybrid with a syn gut cross and it was excellent in the PD @ 44/42. The yellow i have used as a cross for a gut main but not in a full bed. A mate of mine does use full bed yellow and loves it (again in a PD) but found full blue too low powered (although that was at 52/50). Due to the lemon peel texture of the yellow I don't think it is significantly less spinny than the blue. There is a third option, the Poly Tour HS which is a lower powered smooth string which might be a good fit for the Juice.

So today GOAT Bro sent me a text, clearance sale on BLX Blade 98's. Down to $149.95 + Buy one get one 50% off. Got a pair held for me for pick up on Sunday. These ones are the gold. No chance to check actual spec's but I hope they are close.

Will update next week with match play. Super stoked!

(Also, when my local shop starts doing deals like this, they are expecting the frame to be axed soon. Same thing happened with the Aerostorm's / Pure Drives before GT. It must mean they are preparing for the new Blades soon!)

Do you use the Blade right now and are just buying more, or are you buying a new frame for yourself?

I have a blade pink right now, and my coach told me I should stick to them as they seem to be a good fit for my game. I've used it sparingly for about 2 months and I look forward to making the switch. Hopefully at Xmas I'll be able to buy another pair and be done with it.

I bought a pair of the golds! I'll probably sell the pink since its a grip size larger then the golds. I much prefer having matching paint jobs, but who knows! I might be able to work it out! I definitely want at least one more though.

Haha you should put some random string setup in there (colorwise) and keep it for when you feel deviant and/or mischievous lol

This is a pretty nice looking frame. I need to demo some of these lesser-known brands...

Hahaha honestly I might end up just keeping it for that. Like it doesn't hurt to have a spare that's just a different cosmetic. I might put pink cyclone in there LOL!

Sweet..and yes the blades are coming in december i think. Another thing you can do if you want more is call stores and ask to buy their demos. They are like $60 usually.
