I like floyds chances if these two do ever get into the ring. I think floyds defense is the best ever. I also dont see him taking the chances like he did when Mosley cought him. Floyd would probably counter punch his way to a decision while not recieving or giving any damage.
i guess time would tell if manny is cheating....

Fedor won't fight in the UFC. Strikeforce guys don't fight UFC guys. Dana White is the ringmaster in the UFC, he decides who fights who.

It's still alot more open w/multiple big fights. For the record, Pac would destroy Mayweather.

I'm not so sure about that. Mayweather is a tough guy to beat. He fights a lot like Roy Jones Jr. in his heyday. Outstanding defense and just scores point after point (like an Olympic fighter).

Mayweather (like Jones Jr.) could have so many more knockouts if he went for them. He could have easily knocked out Mosley.

The one thing Mayweather is notorious for is starting slow. He seems to use the first round (or more if he needs it, but usually doesn't) to feel out his opponent. To see what he can and can't do. To get a good read on the game plan. Then he just defends and "point punches" his way to victory.

I'm actually not sure if Maywether vs. Pac Man would be as exciting as some believe. Mayweather has a way of making fights really boring (just like Jones Jr. did).

Default gentleman boxer

I thought it was admirable how Manny laid off Margarito the last few rounds to spare him further punishment. In the history of boxing, we have all seen how one dominating boxer can torture another hapless boxer and just make him suffer. Even Muhammad Ali tortured many of his opponents, and now Ali is one of the most beloved figures in the world.

If Manny had really wanted to punish Margarito and his camp for disrespecting Roche, he could have punished him more, doing things like rubbing his glove in that gaping wound under M's right eye.

You're right. Poor Ernie was the only one Ali [b]physically[b]tortured. But Ali was known to "converse" with his opponents as he was beating their brains in. As far as I know, there are no reported incidents of Manny talking or trash-talking to his opponents as he was beating their faces to a pulp. He's just doing his job, as he has stated.

If anything he is all smiles jogging into the ring before bouts. Its better if he sings while pulping his opponents that way he can practice for his concert hehe....

Manny gets way too much credit for beating mediocre, disadvantaged opponents. Pac is a great fighter, and his fans are straight ********.

Whoa, and what does being a fan of Floyd make you?

The only way Mayweather is going to beat Pacquiao is dress Manny like a woman.............

Default Let's try another one........

Mayweather has done a lot of running away from the fight it actually improved his footwork.

Good of you to manipulate my words, but this is how you should've quoted it.

You: Mosley never went in for the kill
Me: Here's video, clearly shows Mosley going in for the kill

I guess it's good that someone is sticking up more Mayweather, otherwise this thread would be one-sided.

Anyone see the Pacquiao / Margarito fight? Brutal!

Pacquiao / Mayweather would be a great fight but Mayweather's likely to spend most of the fight running around the ring but he's not going to want to end up looking like this:

I'd really wanna see how a conservative counter-puncher tries to outpunch someone who throws 100+ punches per round and who connects at 40+%.

People has to realize that Manny is a way better boxer compared to how he was during the Marquez fights.

I also don't see Floyd's shoulder rolls working against Manny - who punches at different angles and moves laterally combo after combo.

So many reasons why Floyd is afraid to sign up for the fight. When was the last time Floyd's been impressive against a decent opponent in the ring? The Castillo fights?

That fight wont come, Mayweather want none of it!.
He didnt wanna fight Magherito, the whole boxingworld thought that Magherito was too big and powerfull for Manny, but again he proved everybody wrong. Manny dont back down from fights like Floyd thats keeps ducking. Floyd has never boxed a guy like Manny, he too fast and explosive for him. Please dont bring up that Mosley fight, that old guy was just a shadow of himself, so slow and didnt go for his punches.
