Also @buckethead I know plenty of D2, D1 and futures players that all use stock dunlop racquets and love them, while they may not be your preference other people love them. For instance I hate wilson and will never play with them even they sponsored me, this isnt the case with everyone but its my choice, dunlop wouldnt be in business if they didnt make quality products |

Wilson's QC isn't as good as the Dunlop's. Personally I'd only play with a few brands and neither one we are talking about is included. Dunlop sponsorship to Junior players is one of the easiest to get, that is why you see many playing, because they just want free stuff to play with. |

He came as far as a top player can go IMO. He is now the best player in the history of Austrian Tennis after Thomas Muster. Don’t forget he was just hanging around at 30 or 40 at the ATP rankings all the years before… Sorry mate, but do you even know what tennis is?

@Buckethead
You appear to suffer from a mental handicap because you have yet to demonstrate the ability to use logic and reasoning in your posts. You just spew the same "dunlop sucks" dribble over and over again without any factual matter to back up your opinion. The only thing that "sucks" is your posts.

I would play with dunlop but I got a sick deal with prince, which are not bad racquets either. I would say though Head is the best racquet company in general |

Period. He says the sponsorship is so easy to get (Babolat's is the easiest to get, by the way), but my guess is that he tried to get one and and was denied, so he feels like he needs to trash them every chance he gets. Take his bitter and biased comments for what they're worth...nothing. |

Babolat is an easy sponsorship to get o.O.....how easy....you have intrigued me[/quote] TennisAddict, it is not that I hate Dunlop, it is that their rackets suc.. therefore I hated them. Why don't I hate Volkl, Yonex, Pacific, Tecnifibre, Pro Kennex, they all have at least a couple good rackets that perform well, but Volkl and Yonex do have the entire line better than anything, and that is why, after demoing so many I decided to stick with whatever these 2 brands make, I just trust them, that is all. Head is a brand that don't like their policies neither, giving cra..p to customers that give their brand money while the real rackets only go to the pro's.How pathetic this is, and isn't what Dunlop does as well? But I have had enough of this Dunlop thing, I really don't like them and I already chose the brands I will always play with, because I they are just better than the others, period. |

I dont know what Melzer did to you personally to make you hate the guy so much but journeymen do not put up the kind of results that this guy does (making the 2nd week at 3 out of 4 majors is incredible). You want a journeyman player check out someone like Teimuraz Gabashvilli, Marcos Daniel or Ivo Minar...or Americans like Robert Kendrick, Lester Cook, Ryler Deheart, Kevin Kim etc. Journeymen grind it out in challengers and usually do not make it out of the 1st round when they do get to majors. Melzer is not exactly a world beater but the guy is currently ATP 13 which is sick and deserves respect, he is extremely talented. Last edited by Shaolin : 09-28-2010 at 07:44 AM. |

GUYS STOP BEING STUPID. AT PRO LEVEL THE QUALITY IS ABOUT AS GOOD ACROSS ALL BRANDS, SO IT DOES NOT MATTER TO THEM ONE BIT. Why do people make stupid comments like Dunlop are crap, they are not, they have produced some of the best frames over the years. I've seen more Wilson and Babolats broke that Dunlop, Tecnifibre, Yonex and other smaller brands if you like. My T Flash 315's beat the crap out of a PDR for build quality and feel and have silicone in the handle. Lets just be about right and say Dunlop are not crap, they may not suit you and you may just not like them, like I dont like the feel of Prince these days but I know they are still good frames. As for Davydenko, his frames will be tailor made to his liking, top level stuff

So anything decided on Davydenko's case??
That racket looked so much the Prince Ozone with Dunlop paint job, which actually looks better but one thing is for sure, Dunsloppy's curse is strong, porr Davydenko hasn't passed a 2nd round for a long time, we should call him Nicolay Gulbis, in homage to 2009 Gulbis that would never win 2 matches in a row.lol |

disagree...isnt he the same guy who said he would never switch from his beloved prince ozone tour racket after winning Miami (his biggest title to date - maybe with the exception of London which he also won with his O3 ozone racket) and climbing to #3 in the world!?..ND played his best tennis with that prince frame. Such a weird quote but then again, he has had so many of them. |

Looks like I and a small number of others were right. You can see the proper grommets.
