Now it's all making sense to me. I tried MF 17 a few months back in my YTPMP @60 lbs. and it was bugging my arm. Went to Biphase 17 @58 on the next restringing and it was hugely more comfortable, even at the very beginning before any tension loss. Much more comfort than the 2lbs difference would account for.

I remember X1 and MF being fairly close in stiffness when I playtested them. I think X1 played firmer if I remember correctly. The only thing I can think of is that they are trying to improve durability with MF.

I like the crisp, controllable power of Multifeel.
What color is the Multifeel that you are using? I just bought a set and am getting ready to string it up. It has a distinct grey tone to it when compared to other "natural" or white colored multis. I think mikeler stated that the first time he tried MF, it was whiter than the MF he used the second time.

It is pretty subtle but it does have a bit of grey tone to it.

The longer I stared at it the more grey it looked! Could be my eyes playing tricks.

It definitely plays quite firm and crisp.

I recall it being whiter but not completely white the first time I tried it. The greyness is what clued me in that something seemed different. Then again, you people see how many freaking strings I have tried and since I don't take pics of many of the string jobs I use, I have to go by memory.

Well I have more PPA and some Micronite arriving next week.

So I am just looking forward to a PPA vs. Micronite side by side showdown!

mikeler!
Which multi string is the most arm-friendly with durability (least frayed)?

For me it would be Babolat Xcel 16 and Maxim Touch 17. Mantis Comfort Synthetic 16 is the softest but the durability is poor except as a cross string only. Other users seem to tear through Maxim Touch though. Not sure why some multis break so quickly for me and others last awhile.

Babolat strings are overpriced.
I try to have Prince Premiere Attack and TF MultiFeel 16 after reading your review.
What about them?

Found Babolat strings, even SG have a familial feel, soft, no matter how tightly strung.

Where do you guys order Signum Pro Micronite in the US? I check a few major sites in the US and none carry this string. Seems like this string is available in TW Europe.

Signum Pro Micronite is softer than Prince Premiere Attack. Both play terrific and last a long time. The MultiFeel I tried only lasted 4 sets and the new version seems stiffer.

Got another 2 sets out of Micronite last night. Much like PPA, I'm just puzzled how it keeps hanging on. The heat was getting to me last night but I was still able to save 3 set points in the 2nd set TB to take the match. Once the feet stop moving and the eyes stop watching the ball, there is only so much a string can do for me.
