RIP is definitely NOT a power string. It is very LOW powered. I've been using it for 3 years, needed a little more power without ruining my elbow, and put RPM 17 in the mains, and have not had any elbow issues at all.

I did not emphasize it enough in my review, but this is a low powered multi. My problem with it is that if I hit outside the sweetspot (which I do routinely), then the power increased too much for me. It also had no feel. The spin was terrific with it though. |

Haven't tried that ..... but did not like Goucho Gut .... today pretty much just string with Ashaway dynamite Soft 17 and Forten Dynamix 17g ..... plus a little of Bab N.Vy every now and then.... all pretty easy to string.

You were getting more power on your shots hit outside of the sweetspot? That doesn't sound right regardless whether using RIP, or anything else.

I started out yesterday with the Discho Microfibre at 50# against a big hitter. Got broken the first game of the match and realized I could not control the incoming heat with that low of a tension. So I went to the 57# setup and played better but still ended up losing a close set. I switched to the 54# setup for the next 2 sets and played my best with it.
So I'm thinking 54# may be my new tension. More testing to come... |

I did end up winning 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 after 2:52 in the Florida heat! Only got broken once in the last 2 sets versus twice in the 1st set. I'm debating about cutting out the 57# DM but it looks like it still has several more hours left so maybe I'll leave it in. |

Anybody who is familiar with both Prince Premiere Attack and TF Multifeel, can you please tell me which of these strings has more power. I'd like a multi with a little more power than PPA without getting into the trampoline feel.
Thanks in advance.

I think they are close in power level. Durability wise, Multifeel is not very good. |

Hi Mikeler,
Can you comment on the Durability of the following Strings.. Pro's Pro Hitec Multifiber. Pro's Pro Claycourt Plus (Not sure whether you have tried this). Thanks |

I think the Hitec Multifiber is the same string as Mantis Comfort Synthetic which is not very durable but the softest multi I've tested to date. I have not tried the Claycourt Plus yet and I believe it is out of stock currently in the USA. |

The Microfibre is my favorite string but I don't consider it crisp. Has a nice soft feel to it. When strung at 50 pounds, it really starts to play like gut without the crispness and still maintaining the ability to flatten balls out. |
