I bought a used Exo Tour this weekend from another TTWer. He had Babolat synthetic gut in it. Gamma synthetic gut used to my staple of choice for a year or two. I forgot how bad synthetic gut is. I'm a multi snob now.

Used to believe Bab SG was nearly as compliant as Bab's Multis 10 yrs ago. Now my elbow knows better.

Strung up the Genesis Hex Comfort prototype last night. It was definitely not as sharp as Dunlop Hexy Fiber. Bounced a few balls off it and it feels REALLY nice and soft. Seems pretty spinny too.

I'm anxious to hear your thoughts on the Genesis multis.

I hit with it for a few minutes tonight since my opponent was late. It was a tournament match I was waiting on so I did not spend a whole lot of time with it, not enough to really give any decent feedback. Plus it was in my newly purchased used Exo Tour with a leather grip and lead tape. I play the Exo Tour stock.

Hit with the Hex Comfort during 1 set of dubs today. I was tired after a 3 set singles match. Hard to judge it still.
Our local store has 30 percent off all strings except natty right now. So I bought Dunlop DNA to test out. |

I'll be looking forward to how the DNA plays. It's a little more expensive than I usually spend. But I find it appealing and might be willing to expand my budget depending on your review. ..No pressure though.

Do you have any plans or have you playtested the two new multifilament strings by WeissCannon?
They are rated very high in the actual playtest reports from this year on STRINGFORUM. In fact, they were #4 and #6 of the top 12 (#2 and #4 if you only include stings available in the US). Top 12 Multis Stringforum (2012) - in order of overall performance: Tecnifibre Competition 1.28* SuperString Viper V9 Terre Multi* Tecnifibre X-One Biphase ($17) WeissCANNON Explosiv! ($13.) MSV Technora 100 1.10* Signum Pro Micronite 1.27* Tecnifibre NRG2 17 ($15.) WeissCANNON 6Star Supercharged 1.30 ($12.) Kirschbaum Touch Multifibre 1.25 ($14.) Wilson NXT Tour 17 ($17.) * not available in the US.

He has Explosiv and 6 Star listed. I've tried Explosiv as a cross maybe one day I'll try it as a full job. The 6 Star is being discontinued and PVAudio has tried it and did not like it so I'll pass on it.

Had a very strange tournament match yesterday with a regular of mine. Both of us were playing bad and I ended up losing 7-5 in a tiebreak. I switched to a brand new set of DM and I started playing better but he did not and I won 12 straight games after that. That's the first time a beat up DM job has kind of let me down.
