It was $11 at guts and glory tennis. TW doesn't carry it.

I agree. It is the hardest to find anything on it. You can't tell what they have. They really push WC products is all I can tell they have. I had to actually call them to get an answer to a question I had emailed them over a week earlier. Odd.

They actually have fantastic service and super fast delivery. Don't judge a book by it's cover

I ordered from them before and they are quick on delivery plus they are pretty good at carrying new strings before others get them.

Which? The SP Fiber Hi Tec?
So u still like Multifeel best, as a low powered multi with spin? Do u always use full bed? You could add a copoly cross. It would have minimum impact on your arm add give u a little spin boost.

Yes the SP Fiber Hi Tec. I still think MultiFeel is my favorite but I want to try it again after I go through most of the multis out there. As JT suggested, if I do try poly again, start with it in the crosses. I don't plan on trying polys until the heat returns here which is usually in May. I'll finish up with the 4 multis I still have at home and then I may buy one more batch of multis to test out and that should last me until May. My thinking now is to put in a TW order for these to get the free shipping: ISOSPEED Energetic Plus 16 String $8.99 Kirschbaum Touch Multifiber 16 (1.30) String $14.30 KLIP Excellerator 16 String $12.99 Solinco Vanquish 16 (1.30) String $12.50 Volkl Gripper 16 String $13.99 Head FiberGEL Spin 16 String $7.95 Tecnifibre TGV 16 $15.00 Xcel Power 16 $20.00 Then maybe finish up with Maxim Touch 16. After that, I want to pick one and go with it. Last edited by mikeler : 04-11-2011 at 06:30 AM. |

I have about 3hrs on my multifeel setup and it is fraying/notching pretty good. Don't see much more than another 3hrs at most on it. Nice string, but I like NRG better in terms of feel and pop.

Picking up 2 frames today for my "delicate" elbow (LOL). One is full NRG at a whopping 54# and the other is VS/Syn Gut hybrid at 54#. A 5.0+ buddy of mine just switched to the Bab VS/Syn Gut prepackaged hyrbid and says he has had ZERO shoulder issues since switching. I can also attest to the fact that he seems to have gained atleast 5-10+ mph on his FH as it is just ripping through the court!!! His last tension was at 52# (since it was soo cool here) and he said it is too low, but is now used to it and is killing it! He is going to 54# next then probably 56# when summer temps move in. Last time he and I hit he looked like he was just taking a nice smooth swing and BAM--ball had ripped through the court and was about past me--- He said he's been doing the same thing to his normal 5.0 hitting buddies too--glad it wasn't just me!!!

It makes it easier to separate myself from the cash knowing that it helps a lot of people make informed decisions. Now let's hope I can break Xcel this weekend and move on to NXT Control next week. |

Didn't think I'd be able to play today but was able to squeeze in 2 sets on my neighborhood hard courts with the Babolat Xcel. Missed a few more volleys with it today but also hit quite a few good ones. I definitely dig this string.

Got 3 more sets today out of the Xcel. The string is starting to fray similar to Maxim Touch 17. I still don't see any severe notching. The strings are also moving around a little bit more. A reel of Xcel is $220. Still kind of pricey.
