Never heard of that string but it looks interesting.

Even then, it was still quite difficult.
Is that Jason that you are talking about?

No, but he did spend some time in Boston and has a 5 letter first name. One of my former coworkers is good friends with Jason.

OK Jason works for me. Great guy and terrific tennis player too. Tried to help me with a new service motion.

Small world. Did you happen to attend Citrus high school? Off to the courts...

Played 3 sets over 2 hours with the Polyfibre Gutex this morning. I'll write a full review after my next hit. The string shares many characteristics with Mantis Comfort Synthetic. I don't think it is quite as soft, but it does seem to have a little more spin probably because of the rough texture of the string. Unlike MCS, I did get quite a few balls that trampolined off my racket and took off. It makes the same thud sound when you hit the ball like MCS. The strings move like crazy and are much harder to put back in place due to the texture of the string. Not good for posters with OCD like KCraig.

I ended up cutting this out over 3 sets. Getting back into poly hybrids at the moment.

What does Gutex mean, if anything?

Head RIP Control or Head Intellitour might be good options for you.

mikeler,

Is there one or more multis you've encountered that you thought tended to excel more in the spin department?

Thanks.

These are the best multis for spin. All are fairly close for spin potential but if I had to rank them, this would be my best guess.

1. Head Rip Control 16
2. Dunlop Hexy Fiber 16
3. Tecnifibre X-One Biphase 16
4. Prince Premiere LT 16
5. Tecnifibre MultiFeel 16
6. Babolat Addiction 16

Awesome, thanks much. I have been following this and the poly thread, but just lost track of the spin specific comments. Thanks again.

WeissCannon Xplosiv is NOT Mantis Comfort Synthetic. More on that tomorrow.
