Default paying a pro to watch/critique a match

I really hate ball fed lessons so I'm wondering if anyone has ever paid a pro to watch a match and then provide some tips after either in written or verbal form. Any other ideas to help progress my game?
This past summer I hit with a DI college player and video taped all our sessions. That helped a lot and now I'm looking to continue the progress.

I would think it would be better to pay the pro to teach you and three of your friends (or two, if singles). Then the pro can break in with on-the-spot feedback.

It wouldn't help me as much to get after-the-fact written feedback.

JMHO.

Pay for the hour with a pro and tell him you want to spend the hour playing a simulated match. He'll be in a better position to critique you if he's in there changing up the style now and then. Having him watch is less useful; you might play a guy who never comes to net, so the pro won't be able to see how you handle hitting passing shots, for example. My hits with a pro usually include playing games the last 15 or 20 minutes.

You could take video and show it to a pro before a lesson. Then he could work with you on the stuff he sees.

This summer I took lessons once a week from a pro and before or afterwards he would often have me play a set against a good junior and sometimes watch and give advice. Very, very useful.

i have paid to have a pro watch me. and ive taken a video of a match and sat with the pro as he watched and critiqued.
both were very informative and worth the time and money
even if you play games with the pro he never sees you in a "real" situation.
also you are more relaxed against the pro because its "ok" to miss.
watching the video with the pro i think i got more out of it because i could tell him what i was thinking and we could discuss what happened better.
plus i could see specifically what he was seeing and discussing
