I have a Babolat star 3 that I need to use somewhere where electricity is not available. Can I use the power of my car with a inverter or a powerbox (powerpack) with this machine? Do you think it will work for at least 30 minutes?

The machine should list the power requirement on the tag. Make sure you have an inverter that supplies that much current at 110v. Look for the wattage.

Not really a electrical engineer. My BAB S3 has a transformer under the hood to supply the circuit board and motor. When I get to work Monday I'll check the demands this unit requires. Obviously the tension you set will determine the power requirements.
You should definitely have a calibrator on hand to be sure you're pulling the proper tension and not under supplying the motor with what it needs. Not sure if you can damage anything. The boards and motor are the most $$$ parts to replace on the S3

One VA = one watt. Therefore your machine needs 40 watts to run and your inverter supplies 300 watts continuous. Looks like it will work with plenty of margin to spare.

One of the guys who strings at some of the local tournaments has a generator in the back of his van which he uses to power up his machine. You could get a small generator.
