Default If you were using vs team 17g, what would you cross it with for max.:

Crispness, or for:
Spin, or:
Control
Power
Feel
Durability
Playability

What tension would you use? Higher on mains or crosses?
18 x 20 or 16 x 19?
Lots of folks like alu power or alu pow. rough, for control reasons. But what about that crisp feel, like a high pitched clink sound.

I liked blackcode for crispness. I like bbo for power. I liked alu for control but only for a short while. I like ace 18g for touch. What did you use and like the most?

Alu Rough, as I currently do

Great crispness, control, feel, power and touch.

8-10 good playing hours in a 16x19 98 SQ" head.

VS team 17 mains: 26 kg
Alu Rough crosses: 24 kg

I have a half reel of sppp, that I would sell for 1/3 price.

Rough and Team would last me about 2 hours.

You guys must be GOATing℠ tons of cash.

What about Tour Bite 17 + VS Team?

Anyone try that hybrid?

At the moment I am playing with KLIP Legend 17 in the mains with Luxilon Ace in the crosses. 9 hours, no signs of breaking, and minimal notching. 55 on the mains 57 crosses...

I don't hit as hard and with as much spin as you do, so I get 8-10 hours out of my VS team 17 mains and Alu Rough crosses in my 98 SQ" 16X19 racquets

I tried that combo. The tour bite made the job feel powerful, but not a lot of control or crispness.

Doubles I am thinking of this trying your exact setup and tensions on my Head Prestige MP's.....currently playing intellitour 16 and looking for just a little more bite with the same comfort....I've tried some straight poly setups and can't deal with the shock.....

Tell me some more please on how it hits and how you came up with your set up

I strung up my racquet with Klip armour pro mains and alu power in the crosses, 27/26 kg. And I`m really liking this combination! First time I`ve played with gut.

Great feel and touch, especially at the net (played doubles last night).

But can any of you compare armour pro and vs team? Should I just stick with the armour pro or perhaps try vs team instead the next time?

If you got some cash to spare, I would go for it! Don't you want to know why people say VS Team is the best?

Good way to reward yourself with the best string out there. Only downside is you may not be able to come back down the mountain and you might end up like ClubHoUno with pics of his stash.

Crispness: Genesis SpinX 17

Spin: Kirschbaum Spiky Shark 1.25

Control:
Weisscannon Silverstring 1.20

Power: Kirschbaum PLII 1.15 (note that I do NOT recommend, but it's the max power)

Feel:
Weisscannon Scorpion 1.22

Durability: Signum Pro Poly Plasma 1.23

Playability: Weisscannon Scorpion 1.22

What tension would you use? Gut at 60, poly crosses at 57.

Higher on mains or crosses?

18 x 20 or 16 x 19?

Wow, I just saw this, if you see this, I hope it helps. I get plenty of spin from this set up, and because of the 18x20, there is minimal notching. Power is great due to the natural gut and the thin poly, and feel is also good for the same reasons. I thought this was actually softer then full intellitour...

You were saying it was good for 14-15 hours a few weeks ago.

Nothing like plucking figures out of thing air.
