Glad that this particular topic on TTW had a happy ending. Y'all got to hit some, we got to see some video, and the myth of LeeD has been answered. And his critiques and criticisms should now be valid to those who doubted before.

Now what's the Tips/Instructions section going to become? This 71 page topic has got to be like 50%+ of the activity that goes on here.

Well, the train just needs to keep rolling. People just have to go out and hit with other people and record it. It's not only fun to be able to meet new and different people but you may just learn a thing or two when you see yourself on video.

The tennis tips/instruction section will always have new topics and many old topics that will pop up because there are new tennis players everyday.

Its a very nice serve even now, I imagine when he was younger and playing a lot that serve must have been quite a nice weapon.

I took the only match recording I have and choose some serves from two games from a single set (similar point of view to the recording above). The recording was not intended to be published. So, a recreational match, average serves during a long process of hard modifications of serve sequence.

LeeD rated me as 3.0 player.

Could you compare both vids and rate him?

Both of your dresses are pretty. Leed's serves looked good. Sennocs serves looked good. At some point it comes down to how you use them. Ajats serves looked good also but it looked like he was hitting topspin serves? I for one am glad to see that Lee has clearly played some tennis in his day. I also agree that he does not look 61, 55 maybe? I would gladly play with any of the three of you, and probably lose

I was wondering when all the nicey nicey stuff are gonna end and some maliciousness will show... low and behold, here it is!

it's public knowledge that Lee's rating scale is off.... I'd rate you at strong 4.0 to 4.5, serve looks real good, but from your other vids, groundies are suspect.

Lee is a falling 4.0, which makes sense.... if you can't move, you can't play..... but that serve alone will let him beat the 3.5s

Give it a rest. Everyone has some vendetta against harsh raters on this site. Guess what? It doesn't matter what they rate you. If the computer and your results say otherwise, let them eat crow.

If you really want to compare the two vids, then what are you really looking for people to say? Your serve certainly isn't bad. Neither is LeeD's. I don't think you hit the ball any harder than him, or have some kind of ridiculous kick or anything. It's just a good serve.

I think I expected way too much out of LeeD's serve..lol. But it is a pretty good serve..reminds me of a guy I hit with yesterday..keeps you on your toes or you will mishit.

I can't even see the ball in sennoc's video.

^Yeah it's hard to track the ball. It sounds nice though but that's what you get playing indoors.

Good serves though.

The thing with LeeD's serves is that it doesn't look like he's going at 100%. Maybe 85%.

I almost felt the same way (expecting too much) before seeing the video, but my experience with my old dogs told me to keep the expectations in check...

so I'd say honestly say that Lee's serve didn't quite live up to the claim of 3-digit speed, but it is a darn good serve for his age.

Yeah, I hit a couple with more topspin to get them in and a couple down the middle that were flatter.

Net is lower in the middle so I can hit flatter. Higher at the edges so I hit more top.
