I see 3 of the crew down at BerkeleyMarina, as 2 are windsurfers, one is a boatsailor.
But I think kitchen get's priority here, as it's stud walls, rafter ceilings, and joist floors now. The whole shebang is due in after the 15th, after finish of plumbing, then electricals, then ceiling sheetrocking, then walls, then subfloor, then counters and tops, then wiring, then painting.

I hear you, I have a couple of small projects here to complete. Then I can head to the court with some peace of mind. Maybe this weekend.

the 'you don't know what you don't know syndrome' - typically somebody like sennoc, without past competition experience (in his own admission), can easily fall into the trap.... all the parents who think their kids are the next tiger or roger are in the trap, so are all the rec players who think the difference between them and Fed is just age and a sponsor, and 5 ATP points are in the near future.

I think people who have had extensive training / competition in a 'performance activity', performance as in 'if you don't perform, you don't get paid', usually are immune of such a trap, that category include those in the field of sports, arts, or something like poker..... those who have reached an 'expert level' in any of these fields, will realize just how high the barriers are, to be a successful pro in a 'performance activity'.

But even people who hold 'non-performance activity' jobs, but that are highly professional, should be immune... research scientists, attorneys, doctors etc for example, can easily relate the 'barrier of entry' in their own jobs, to the 'barrier of entry' in professional sports.

So I suspect, that peoplespeace and sennoc, probably have jobs that have very low 'barrier of entry', plus the lack of competition history, 2 factors that contributed to the delusions they are in.
We call it "Paul Sorvino Syndrome".

aw common, sennoc may ridiculous, but the making fun of his English dings have to stop. It's obviously not his first language. It's kind of a low blow.

A little hint for you....compare your take back to every single men and women's current top 10 pro. You will see how yours is straight back and theirs has the racquet head pointing up in the air and as high or higher than their heads.

So for starters, your forehand is wrong from the very start.
Compare his take back to every pro when he was learning tennis.

I don't see why you are all ganging up on Sennoc, I don't think he's the antagonist here

well... himself was the one who compared his FH to Fed and his volley to Rafa (instead of pro when he was learning tennis).

It does seem a bit unfair with the 'gang up'.... but once he gets into foul language mode, I think it's fair game.

Sennoc himself compared his current stroke to be technically equal to the stroke of Federer and current pro players. It took 2 seconds for TCF and Balla to point out the first of many faults. Yet Sennoc still insists he is the equal of top pros. So I think he is fair game in terms of his tennis skills.

Don't tell me you've never compared your shots to your favorite player or tried to copy him

Absolutely agree. What he said was probably a little silly, but it's no reason for everyone to act so hostile towards him.

Huh? The first thing every Spanish coach, Russian coach, Serbian coach, Australian coach, America coach....every coach around the world is teach racquet up.

Ganging up on a guy who has spent days telling us only he understands technique when his very basics are horrible.

Sorry, you are defending the indefensible. He started the technique bragging, not us.

Exactly. A guy posts a video he made side by side with Federer, then spends days telling everyone we are all idiots and he is the expert on technique.

We point out his obvious flaw....and we are the bad guys?

I don't think so.

that would be completely different from sennoc's behavior.

on the other hand, I've prolly copied a lot of footwork patterns from Fed, but never any individual strokes... as a technical nut, I believe different folks different strokes.... it's impossible, for me with such poor athletic abilities, to copy a pro.
