Bit of a one dimensional string in my view.
Yes, it generates a ton of spin with a ton of grab and bite on the ball. Yes, its low powered, and control orientated. Yes, its practically impossible to hit the ball out of the court with this string. But it's dead(ish) feeling, doesn't offer a great amount of feel or touch, its very much like a on/off switch in terms of its power modulation, and spin production. There's just something missing with this string in my view - too much of an on/off switch and simply not enough adjustability. A very particular type of string, for a very particular type of player, looking for a very specific set of characteristics. Not an all around poly by any means. In fact, come to think of it, I know someone at my club who this string will probably suit. He's a big hitting 'all or nothing' type of player with a HH Radical and a frequent string breaker. Huge but inconsistent serve (several aces, several DFs), huge groundstrokes that either leave a dent in the court with smoke trails or fly into the net/side fence/back fence, and he'll try and hit winners from ultra defensive positions (without much success, I should say). And because he's a young, physically powerful sort of guy, I doubt that any stiffness issues will bother him. And since he's not really a touch player, I doubt that the lack of feel will bother him either. I think I'm going to try and punt the rest my reel onto him. As I've said many many times, B5E is next to mediocre as a full bed poly. In the mains as a hybrid, then it's top class IMO.

for those not afraid to venture "outside the box" string combos/variations might provide desired results. it's all about the results...like wood & nails, mortar mix & water, wort & yeast...

How do you guys like it in fullbed for slices? Is it "best" for slicing? Thanks.
