Ha! Take that Federer! Pete's got a prettier wife, and better taste in architecture.

That is his old house, it's actually for sale now. Originally listed at 25 mil (I think) then taken off the market, and now re-listed at 19 mil. When he moved from this house to the smaller house in Brentwood he put some stuff in storage, and that stuff was stolen. Remember that whole story?

Here's the listing: http://www.realtor.com/realestateand...1_M26761-66215

Are you suggesting he was living beyond his means -- like a lot of stars do!

Not at all. Pete seems to have moved a few times in the last few years, I think he's still looking for exactly the house he wants. I think the Thousand Oaks house was just too far away for him, and possibly "too much" for a family of four. Sometimes I wonder if he regrets giving up the Beverly Hills house that he had when his first son was born.

I know he had some endorsements and all, but maybe spending more than ones total Tour Earnings on a place is TOO much too...

I mean did he earn more than 20 million?

He uses a trust to buy and sell his property. Sounds like he was well invested and managed soundly regardless of whatever earnings he made.

40 million in prize money alone. Probably twice that in endorsements and exhibitions.

I have nothing better to do right now than browse google (well I do but I prefer to procrastinate and look at houses I'll never afford).

1st house, 2620 Benedict Canyon Drive (bought it from Kenny G, sold it to Jon Peters). http://www.trulia.com/property/44524...Hills-CA-90210

2nd house: A Tudor style in Beverly Hills. Listed for 25 mil, sold for 16 mil to one of the guys who created "Will and Grace" http://realestalker.blogspot.com/200...-grabs_23.html

3rd house: Lake Sherwood, Thousand Oaks, as listed in the OP of this thread

4th house (current home): http://www.shelterpop.com/2010/04/02...rass-new-home/

Okay, that was a nice little visit to the life of the 1%. I'm going to go hide in my tiny little bathroom and curse the tub and shower for being one unit instead of across the room from each other, then shout at my backyard for not having a pool and tennis court.

Two words: French. Open.

Actually let's make that just one word: Clay

The link in the OP gives me "no video" or something like that.

Just do a Google search for Pete Sampras Lake Sherwood and it should come up for you if none of the links above work.

This was depressing. Assuming you could put 4 mil down as the 20% down payment, you are looking at $76,000 PER MONTH as your monthly mortgage payment.

Uggghh.

Love the infinity pool and the landscaping. Unbelievable view. Inside looks a bit like an office building. Where's the next board meeting Pete?
