Search Image issues

Whenever I do a search, it often takes me 2 or 3 times to get the characters right from the search image. Does anyone else have this problem?

Why do they even have this, its just a search, not a user signup. They have a time delay to keep a machine from overloading the server with massive searches so the image is just an annoyance. Did this forum have an issue with bots doing too many searches, or did the BB just come with that function so they turned it on. Any chance we can get that turned off?

Oops, if I could delete this thread I would....now that I'm signed in, no search image needed. Problem solved, sign in first next time. That annoyance gets people to sign in....nevermind.
