The scary ones are when you feel absolutely fine the day after, so you know the DOMS is gonna wreck you 2 days after the workout...

Practiced again tonight. Didn't get to much time on court, but I did get some video. Hit some, played some ground stroke points, and some serving points.

Still hitting too conservatively, and still only serving about 60% effort.

Also need to practice volleys next time and get some footage of it. I love hitting groundstrokes, and working on my ground game so much that I forget to practice volleys.

Back feels a little stiff, but that is likely because it is a balmy 22F here.

Video to come.

Bah! I totally F'ed up the video.

Zoomed in too close, and I didn't notice. You can barely see anything.

I'll post up a snippet, but it sucks, so I will have to do again next week.

@J011yroger - about your plans: so having a decent record against 4.5 rated players is still not part of your goals?

Ah..."flexibility" is the word I think you're searching for.

But forget yoga. Take a good ole-fashioned ballet class.

Seriously, Jolls...good on you for attempting such a feat. Just watch the weigh loss regime. 2-3 lbs per week. Tops. Anything more is just water weight, or worse, a decrease you can't sustain. Didn't gain it overnight; ain't gonna lose it overnight. Ditch the junk food and take-out. Cook your own. It's usually cheaper and much, much better for you.

I think you need a financial goal. As in buying a stringing machine and doing it yourself. You do realize how much money you could be saving?

Let's get this straight. You were hiding out at 5.0, because you were too cowardly to play 3.5. Don't try make us think that you are a 4.0.

Jolly doing ballet? I had mentioned that I did ballet in college and he looked at me like I grew wings, forked tail, and pair of horns.

Yes, I was doing ballet, with a snickers bar in one hand and Pepsi in the other.
