Default Djokovic vs Dodig

Anyone watching this?

It's 4-3 on serve in the 1st set.

Djokovic is not looking as good as he was in the first round. Making several UFEs.

His Croatian opponent meanwhile is playing steady and serving very well - winning 89% of his first serve points.

Let's hope Djokovic steps it up..

To be honest i expect Djokovic to play average during the day.
He always plays well during the night sessions and then struggles during the day.Good thing it`s not that hot out there otherwise he would be in deep trouble

Yep. He's already saved a break point and made 13 UFEs in 8 games

I can only hope that Djokovic improves against Troicki. Victor would certainly eat "THIS" Djokovic for dinner..

Wouldn't mind seeing an upset actually.

Never really cared much for Djokovic.

3 of the 9 ESPN tennis experts predicted Djokovic would win this Australian Open (and 3 predicted Rafa, and 3 predicted Federer).

Djoker had set point (on Dodig's serve) but netted the backhand.

6-5*, Djoker

I just think DJokvoic's ground game is not working as well today, compared to R1.

Very interesting serve analysis of Djokovic's compared to 2007. The results are revealing. Djokovic's serve has regressed considerably

djokovic will never win another grand slam. his game is going backwards, whilst i see improvement in federer, nadal and soderling. murray's game - can't say its regressed just yet - he's always had patchiness in his FH, and serve.

I have no idea why. He's a good player but he can't and won't beat Fed or Nadal anymore. He got incredibly lucky to stave off 2 match points against Federer at the US Open, but after that he got beat pretty easily by Fed twice and he's really never been able to beat Nadal.

On top of that he's likely to have to beat both of them probably back to back in order to win a major, and that definitely won't happen.

He got lucky? What happened? Fed double fault? Lucky net cord? Controversial line call? Fed retire?

Or did he take it to Federer and hit winner after winner?

That's not luck; that's called being clutch. Big difference.

And as for Fed beating Djokovic in their last 2 meetings, Murray has beaten Federer twice in their last THREE meetings...with two of those coming in finals. Would you use this as evidence to indicate that Murray is now going to start dominating Federer in majors?

Staving off 2 matchpoints isn't a bad thing. It's worse for Federer that he couldn't step up his game when required. The bottom line we can draw from that match is Federer couldn't outplay Djokovic in their most recent slam meeting, so there's no reason to say Djokovic can't beat Federer at a slam when it's obvious he can.

Muted reaction from the Joker, he knows he can do better than this.

He played low percentage tennis by trying to crush two shots and was able to find the lines twice... Yeah that's ****ing luck, he even admitted it was luck too. He said "I just closed my eyes and prayed" or some bs like that.... ****ing bs luck is what that is, and **** you for trying to say it's not....

And I don't think Djokovic and clutch belong in the same sentence together either.

I don't think he can again, but that's just my opinion.

I just hope the fans don't go overboard like the last time Djoko played a Croat.

As a Croatian, it was really embarrassing to watch.

Love Djoko though, and hope to see him in the 3rd round!

Well I just saw Djokovic break the other guy's serve and he was pretty impressive there. Djokovic playing that well could certainly take Fed out, especially if Fed's game is not on.

BUT, having said that...

Finish this match and GTFO my screen Djoko, cause I do NOT want to be reduced to watching Federer on a crappy stream.

ARRRGHHHHH he just got broken!!!!
