It is a great question why both Oregon and Arizona don't have any expectations with their men's tennis programs. When they visit Palo Alto I don't even bother to go because the teams are so bad. With all the new money in the Pac 12 I would like to see ASU revive the men's team.

I think USC is quite a bit stronger than Texas. It would help to have Sarmiento healthy, but they could probably win without him.

Ray-Ray is fine.. I think the coach has been sitting him out the last few battles so he can see the others perform ... some of USC's lineup looks a bit rusty recently ... I hope they all peak at the right time..

Oregon showing that they have improved. Cambier could always play ball but others on that team are stepping up now. This team is better than last year's. Last year they got up into the 30's early very artificially, but this years team is more more legit.

Are you basing that solely on the fact that Pac 12 team has won the NCAA's 4 years in a row, or are you talking the Conference as a whole? I hope it is the former and not the latter.

As a whole it's the best. 3 perennial top 8 teams (Stanford is down a bit this year) plus you have two top 25 regulars in Cal and Washington. A great team like Cal has to settle for 4th most years because of the ridiculous teams up top. Oregon Arizona and Utah are better than their records just because they have like 10 guaranteed losses each season because of how good the teams 1-5 are. Oregon is a good team this year and would punish many teams but not in the Pac 12.

Says fanboy.

Hands down the SEC is the overall best tennis conference. Minus the top team USC, it's not even a contest.

Let's start with the ITA National Indoor. 16 teams, 7 from the SEC.

Then the current top 25
SEC 9 teams.
PAC-10 4 teams.

Whats you got?

SEC has almost double the schools as the PAC-8.

Top 5
2/8 vs 0/14

Top 10
2/8 vs 3/14

Top 15
3/8 vs 6/14

Top 20
4/8 vs 7/14

the Pac 12 has 8 teams. SEC has 13. So it's actually impossible for Pac 12 to have 9 teams in the top 25.

The SEC team we played wasn't so hard. Washington didn't think so either.

SEC has no teams in the top 5, nobody in that conference can win a national title. Stanford will be top 25 soon that will be 5 of top 25 out of 8. I mean is LSU really better than Stanford?

Here's the thing. Every SEC team would go 0-4 on the year vs USC and UCLA. And few could get a win vs Cal.

If I were a coach of a team that could sit somewhere in the top 20, and got to choose between going into the SEC or Pac 12, it would no doubt be the SEC.

My team might stick with USC and UCLA at some positions, but more than likely get beaten 5-2 at best; probably go 4-3 or3-4 with Cal and probably beat UW; then obliterate Stanford, Oregon, Arizona, and Utah.

My team would probably go 4-3 or 3-4 with Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, Ole Miss, MSU, Texas A&M, and Auburn.
