No. Why would you need to do that? I routinely replace the original insole with another, but I wouldn't want to play without any.

Of course not, why would do such a thing? That's just absurd.

All the time, no problem. Makes the shoe lighter, lower to the ground, a more stable feel. Know that a lot of people (especially those who haven't tried it) will disagree.
There's plenty of of shockabsorbtion in a good shoe without the insoles. Notice that you might be able to/have to go a size smaller for the best fit.

Thanks for the response.

I haven't tried wearing shoes without insoles, but I could imagine that the friction would be greater- more chance of blisters. Maybe I'm just going on the idea that there would be more room sans insoles.

I did it once by accident - couldn't figure out why my shoes were so uncomfortable and my feet kept sliding around! Why do you ask? Because while it probably wouldn't do much serious damage doing it occasionally (Just more blisters and slightly sorer feet after), it wouldn't be the best idea to do it all the time unless you have slightly smaller shoes which fit better without the insole. If you're feeling like you need room in places, you may need to go up a size, or even get more specialised and supportive insoles.
