Well, the silver appears to be a couple points stiffer. That is something that can't be changed with weights.

How much I need to customize let say Silver Lite to get SW around 320 and strung weight around 310-315g?

Thanks!
The gold is a little heavier and the silver would be next, the white and silver lite swing very easy.

I can choice on SILVER on this specifications? Should I expect any difference in such small differences in spec?

--301318

Thanks!

I have XP dual (from today). I will try both and then decide.

Reading all the posts in looks like Silver is powerful enough. will see.

Excellent. Im interested to hear your comments on both now that you have them in your posession
That silver is a very nice racquet, just needs a longer/faster swing than I currently have developed.

@ cayzi

302323 will give you more power if you swing it as fast as 301318 and probably be closer to your XP Dual...

And now......GO OUT AND PLAY TENNIS!!!

I'm guessing 302323 is a digital combination of weight and balance. In which case 302323 is more head heavy than 301318. Assuming equal material density and stiffness then 302323 would have more power.

I am thinking the 302 means 30 to the second power on the forehand and the 323 is for the OHBH.

True. This is bar code for specifications.

What happen with a power if i choice 306323 version. This are really small differene if you ask me but will this version have more power or just get more difficult to handle and move arround since it is havier?

I don't think you would see much difference. You are talking about 3g and the balance is the same.

Assuming that the material density is the same (this is not always the case) then you would not see much difference.

That being said I had a friend who had two Head Microgel Prestige MP that had the same weight and balance but different swing weights.

Mass distribution is simply different considering this nobody can surely answer anybody how weight/balance will influence racquet character by just reading the specs

Well, my X-Dual Silver demo came in today from TW (along with some other non-Donnay frames).

Going to hit with it tomorrow. I'll know soon enough if I want to purchase the Gold or Silver.

Forgive me if I've missed this over the previous 1700+ posts, but I was under the impression (from reading TW's shopping site) that the customization kit was sold separately. I didn't order the kit but was pleasantly surprised what showed up with my X-Blue 99 today:

Anyone using the Dark Red these days? What string setup are you using? Which ones have you tried and been dissatisfied with?

While I love the frame's swingweight, static weight, its "solidness", large sweetspot, and power level, I just can't seem to find a good string combination that brings out its FEEL. When I hit a ball, I don't feel like I'm 100% connected with it. I need to find a string that allows me to recognize where my shot is headed.

So far, I've tried:

NXT 16g at 52 lb. -- decent, but nothing special

Big Hitter Blue 17g at 34 lb. -- started out very stiff, but softened up after a while, it was good, but lacking feedback and feel

Big Hitter Blue 17g mains/Hollow Core 16g crosses at 46/48 lb. -- stiff, powerless, lacking spin

Help!

Just got back from hitting with the silver demo from TW. I would compare it to the gold like this.

1. Feel - Gold had better touch. It was definately more smooth.
2. Power - The difference wasn't too great, but it was clear that the silver generated more pace
3. Serve - Silver
4. Control - Gold
5. Spin - Hard to say... Maybe gold was actually a little better, not much if at all. Could have been the strings... they were not the same.

The demo didn't come with the customization gear. I would like to try the silver with a butt cap weight.

Now the delima... Buy a Donnay now... Or wait and demo the new Dunlop 400 Tour in 2012... Why do they do this to me??

Mig

At which tension strung do you compare Silver v Gold?
Recommended tension for Gold is surely below Silver which is stiffer and head heavier, hence surely more powerful at same tension.
So that should be nothing special about
