Well we can't all be as manly as Will Spencer but we as the wimpy ACC can sure try our mightiest.

Clemson
Hunter Harrington - Spartnaburg,SC. 5 start recruit. Should probably be slipped into the line-up at the 3-5 range.
Ayrton Wibowo - Jakarta,Indonesia. Davis Cup player. Word is a doubles specialist. Transfer from Auburn-Montgomery

Duke
Raphael Hemmeler - Zurich,Switzerland. ATP high rank of 1125. Should be a good insertion into the Duke line-up. around #3 or 4
Jason Tahir - Rochester,NY. Blue-chip recruit. ATP high rank of 1242. Talented freshman, who could go into the line-up immediately.

Florida State
Dominic Cotrone - Bradenton,FL. 5 star recruit. Low 5 star. Will likely be out of the top 6 freshman year
Christian Gonzalez-Mendez - Santiago de Compostela,Spain. No ATP ranking
Jason Zafiros - Bradenton,FL. Transfer from Arizona. Will be a senior this upcoming season

Georgia Tech
Colin Edwards - Valrico,FL. 3 star recruit. Probably a backup
Vikram Hundal - Alpharetta,GA. 5 star recruit. Middle-tier 5 star, could be in tail end of line-up
Eduardo Segura Mandarino - Madrid,Spain. ATP high rank of 886. This looks like a could catch for the Jackets, s they try to fill the Gomez hole.
Juan Melian Puigventos - Las Palmas,Spain. Transfer from Ga.Southern. Was Southern Conference player of year. Good introduction to the line-up.

Maryland
David Nguyen - Columbia,MD. Transfer from Virginia
Vlad Stefan - Bucharest,Romania. ATP high rank of 1300. Will be in top 6 immediately.

Miami
Victor Mauz - Suresnes,France. No info on this guy
Miami only has 6 players, they will need to bring in more.

North Carolina
Esben Hess-Olesen - Billund,Denmark. Brother of Texas freshman(twin I guess since they are both freshmen). Im guessing the less talented of the two.
Oystein Steiro - Snaroya,Norway.

NC State
Beck Bond - Meriden,CT. 4 star recruit.
Robbie Mudge - Moorseville,NC. 5 star recruit. Top 6 player
Austin Powell - Muscle Shoals,AL.

Virginia
Mitchell Frank - Annandale,VA. Blue Chip Recruit. ATP high of 623. Immediately one of the top players in college tennis. Probably to be 2 or 3 for UVA.

Virginia Tech
Hunter Koontz - Richmond,VA. 5 star recruit. Mid-tier 5 star player. Could be in top 6 for Hokies.
Mauricio Antun - Sao Paulo,Brazil. ATP high rank of 1430. Should be a top 6 insertion player

Wake Forest
Renier Moolman - Randburg,South Africa. ATP high rank of 1152. Good pick-up for Wake after losing many players. Will be top 4
Sam Wells - Moorseville,NC. Transfer from Vanderbilt.
great list thanks for doing this clemson. i think tahir will start immediately for duke. he had some really good wins this summer on the futures circuit but he seems to be struggling adapting to college this fall. i think Georgia tech is going to surprise a lot of people seeing the players they brought in. i think they can challenge duke for 2nd in the acc

I withhold any solid predictions until I see January dual matches, especially because some schools will have players show up in January. As of this fall, Duke looks like a clear #2 ahead of UNC and GT.

Clemson is down to 7 players. Hopefully we can nab another player from somewhere before the season.

We had some ok results at the bulldog scramble. Yannick Maden was 3-1, lost to Pieters of UGA in a 3 setter. Harrington lost 2 very close matches.

Michael Redlicki picked Duke today. With another year of development for Saba and Mengel along with it being Cunha's senior year, Duke could be looking at a real nice '12-'13 season. This isn't to say they won't do well this year. Hemmeler and Tahir were nice pick ups for this season.

that's only true for football and baseball. Athletes look at Duke favorably in every other sport

Ya, previous post was sarcasm, Duke is such a great school with or without athletics in the equation.

Default as much as it pains me to admit this ;)

dook, er, I mean Duke is a tremendous school, particularly for tennis players. Ramsey and Jamie are tremendous coaches and bring in excellent talent yearly.

I'm very fortunate to live in an area where I can see so much great college tennis - UNC, Duke, and even NC State have some really nice players.

Other than SOME of the Duke fans (towel do****, flat forehead wrestling idiot), I have had nothing but positive experiences with the Duke tennis programs.

Clemson picks up Cedric Willems from Netherlands as an 8th player. Pretty tall, can volley some and has decent strokes. Could be top 6

Boland just inked 4 blue chips:

#2 Mac Styslinger from Alabama
#17 Ryan Shane (younger brother of Justin) from Virginia
#27 John "Harrison" Richmond from South Carolina
#29 Mitchell Polnet from Pennsylvania

In crappier news, the Maryland tennis teams will likely be cut from the school's athletic program.

I think UNC will be around the same level as they were last year. 2,3 will be important spots for them and I think Parker will slip into the 4 spot with the freshman playing 5,6. King has played very well in the fall and I think GT should have a good 1,2 punch with King, and Spir but overall they're lack in the depth department. So i think UNC is above GT at the moment. what do you think?

So much for my prediction that Duke could win the ACC. Sorry, mikej.

Very good recruiting class but I think only Styslinger will see singles action from the four unless Frank or Domijan turn pro. Styslinger and redlicki are comparable with Styslinger having slightly better results recently.

John is from my neck of the woods. A fine young man. Public schooled and parents are doctors i think. He is a heck of a fine tennis player. Very adaptable game. Finds a way to win.

Good to hear. I'm just excited to see another lefty on the team. Treat Huey was the last one to really play in the lineup. We had David Nguyen for awhile, but he transferred.
