No problem. Try to get it out of your head. It's kind of hard. And I'm not even a fan of blondes.

Hey, Granite, I hear you hit with Connors. What was THAT like? How did his shots feel?

Yeah, i got to have a hit with Jimbo. It was almost surreal.

I drove up to the local open tourney, looked over at the hitting wall, and BAM, i could see with one stroke who it was. I've seen Jimmy there a couple times before, as he lives nearby, and even met him before. Since then I've met and become friends with his daughter through one of my regular hits.

So I cruised over to hit on the wall in back of where he was and said hi. He was very nice, especially after telling him that knew his daughter and we chatted a bit here and there while wall balling.

I was done with the wall and looked over and saw him on the court nearest the wall practicing serves. He hit a few and went to the far side to hit some more. I stepped in and set up to return.

That was the point where I wasn't sure if he'd be game, but he just kept serving. Who wouldn't want someone to hit balls back to them instead of chasing them? So i returned serves for about 10-15 minutes. Then we started rallying. Had several couple 30+ ball rallys. I was hitting to him, trying to be cooperative.

He just wouldn't miss, as long as he didn't have to move too aggressively. His ball came in flat, low, deep, medium + pace, like a ball machine.

What a treat. Made me feel kinda like i was doing the dougie with your video girl.

Now the tricky part will be to get another hit going with him. I bet he wants to practice since i saw that he is playing Jmac sometime soon.

^ I never thought I'd see the day guys would prefer seeing a kitten than an SI swimsuit model dancing. The terrorists have won.

Wow. That's a great story. He's a true legend. Nice going taking the chance to step out on the court with him. I wonder how many awesome experiences I've missed out on by being a wuss.
