Default Florida Tennis

Florida had a great win yesterday, beating No.2 Tennessee 4-2 to advance to the SEC Championships final against Kentucky. They'll be going for their 4th SEC Tourney title today. Go Gators!

It was a great win. They had plateaued prior to this and were in danger of having to go on the road in the tournament.
Slilam has really improved in the 2nd half of the year. There are still questions about the bottom of their line-up but they can be a dangerous team.

Default Florida Gators win 4th SEC Tournament Title

Florida defeated Kentucky 4-0 to win their first title since 2005. What a weekend.

Kentucky's head coach argued an overrule on match point and was penalized so match over and it put Florida up 3-0. lol. Don't think I've ever seen that before.

Congratulations Gators!

Nice win. I had the pleasure of working with Sekou Bangoura, Jr. when he was a junior. Great kid.

Nice jump in the rankings for the Gators. I was hoping for a big jump but I sure didn't expect 17 to 8. Nice!

Nice to see North Florida sneak in at No. 72 as well.

Miami trailed 2-0 before getting ahead 3-2. It came down to the last match but Flores won 6-2 in the third to win 4-3. Now we'll probably get a Gators-Hurricanes matchup tomorrow.

Florida State got swept 4-0.

Default Season Ends

Half expected it today but Kentucky beats Florida 4-2 to advance, ending the Gators season. The Gators overachieved with the SEC title so not surprised by the result. Another year ending in the Sweet Sixteen, knocked out by another SEC team.

Too bad the #6 match didn't go the Gator's way after Newman served up a bagel in the 1st set, but dropped the next 2. The #2 match was dead even when the match was decided 4-2 for UK.
