I was stringing for a guy at a Futures event, he was from Australia, and he was hitting with a "Topspin" racket. I looked into it more and found out that they are custom made rackets at only $149.99. Does anybody hit with any of the models? How do you have them set up? Also, I saw that the 93" racket with a 18/20 pattern has a stiffness near 70...thats a recipe for no spin? Any feedback is appreciated.

topspin racquets have been discussed here and there before. They have a few different models to choose from, and from that basic racquet (headsize and flex remain constant, I believe), you can tell them how much SW you want, balance point, weight, etc. I think their website might be **********.com, but I'm not sure.

Koz, you willing to trade a Dunlop Spirit for your Wilson HPS 7.6?

Topspin frames are customized for weight, balance and Length within a specifed range. Topspin offers about five frames. the CL 603 is a 93sq", 18x 20 frame... the CL 628, 16x18, 97Sq" frame and then two/three models are towards the "tweener" catogory of racquets. An expamle of the customization ranges for the CL 628 are: weight 9.7- 10.7 oz (unstrung).. Length 27"-27.5,.... Balance even - 3/4" HL. the topspin website has been down since around the holidays. I play with a CL 628 at 27.25".. 10.7 oz unstrung, 3/4" HL. Presently strung with ALU Power at 50lbs and the second frame (Same specs) strung with Touch Turbo at 50lbs. I Have np problem generating topspin and slice and have good controllable power. I believe the CL 628 flex rating is at 64. the frame is very comfortable.

I have a Topspin CL633, which i got in 2002 and I haven't found a racket that really compares that much with it. I also have a Prince DB800 which I like, but has no comparison to the feel that the Topspin has. 18 main, 20 crosses. 27 inches and a perfect counter balance. I highly recomend this racket to anyone. I'm also pretty impressed with the new Flexpoint Agassi. It has a much different feel to it I think, but none the less a great racket. But the topspin has gotten me pretty far. I placed 8th in a New England Juniors Tournment with this racket. It has a very old school feel, similiar to the older Wilson Classic such that Sampras and Federer use(d). Groundstrokes are incredible, serves and volleys are pretty good, but don't feel as amazing as the strokes. Great racket, let me know if you have any questions.

I choose 03 TOUR cuz it's real good topspin racquet.
And the most important reason is that its swingweight is light |

man, half hte people didn't even read the original post. He's talking about topspin BRAND racquets. Topspin is a german company that also produces my favorite string of choice: poly polar. The U.S. distributor has since gone under, and the racquets are not easily accessible in the U.S. anymore (unless robkat has a contact?)
They were real popular on the boards probably 2 years ago.
