There was also a Bananarama version, although I suspect this is the Vamos Brigade's favourite, as mots of them are bananas...

Happy birthday to all the mid-October BOTErs!

Fed is #1 this week during Basel (301). He needs a SF in Basel to keep it next week (302). After that, he'll lose the #1 the following week, whatever his result in Paris. If Nole has bad enough results in Paris and WTF, Fed might have a chance to end the year number one (303+ weeks).

So Federer's likely gonna finish up with 302 weeks, unless he manages to get back to #1 for a bit after the AO 2013.

Cool

301 or better...who cares how many more? The point is he did something in 2012 no one thought possible...regaining the #1 spot from a deep hole dug mostly by the guy he has replaced. Let's just celebrate The Eagle's reascendance to Excellence and the Aerie of SexiTennis! Allez Rogi, Allez BOTE! Here's to five BaselBeatdowns and another Swiss Cup!

Skipping MC, Canada and Beijing and possibly Paris is too much for Rog. He crowded his first part of the year to make it to no. 1, but he couldn't keep up playing that much tennis.

That might be tough as Roger is superstitious and hates the number 13. He just might skip a year.

Skip a year? No way Rogi pulls a Ralph. He doesn't stall, pick or disappear after losses. No MTO's, no phantom aches. He does win tournaments regularly in months ending in "ber". It is the way of Excellence and a method to achieve unrivaled numbers...17>11, 301>>>102, 6>>>>>>0!

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I couldn't find it with a quick search...how much lighter of a schedule do you think he might keep next year since he'll face no penalties for skipping tournaments? What's the fewest number of tournaments he could realistically play (assuming high finishes in any he plays) and stay in the top 4?
