iignore Flashfire, he thinks he's funny.
I had teh MP 18 x 20s and they hit the ball wonderfully well. However, I no longer use them as I had more arm problems in a year with those than I have had in 30 years with anything else...

I have two 18x20's, and I like them. At the beginning, I was having serious depth problems and not getting the ball over the net. That is no longer an issue. I do better using them against big hitters than I do against slow pokes. Mine are leaded up pretty good though. I wish there was a tad bit more power, so I am going to pick up a Pro or a 16x19 (or a 16x 18 if I can find it) as well.

The thing about that is that it's specs are that of a players frame, but its light. It even has a purer feel than the Speed Pro. But what makes this frame appeal to me is that its perfect for customization. Yea, go ahead and buy a stock MP model and adjust to those specs. But the Elite is such so versatile, and its probably the best feeling light stick I tried since the MG Instinct. Did I mention it feels better than the Pro, and maybe the MPs?

I'm lovin the Speed Pro at the moment.
Gave me what i was looking for and what i felt was lacking with my previous stick, ( MG Prestige Mid ) Massive spin, bigger sweetspot, with the same/similar rock solid feel on groundies. I had to get used to the swing weight though. It was a big jump from the prestige. The Pro helps me so much with topspin that i'm starting to feel that my shots are losing their penetration, so i'm going to have to adjust my technique. Serves are just amazing once you get used to the swing weight. if you have any other questions/concerns regarding the speed pro, ask away. |

I used the MP 18x20, twas my first racquet and it was beautiful if you could generate your own power. I loved the control.
Speed pro = waaaaaaaaaaay too stiff 16x19 = was great, but I liked the control of the 18x20

I play with Gosen Polylon Ice 16 @ 53 lbs on my Speed Pro, feels great, not stiff at all, perhaps even flexible. Not to belittle the 18x20 because im sure its an amazing stick but.... ive tried a Speed MP 18x20 with fullbed Pro Hurricane Tour 16 at 60lbs and man that was the stiffest thing ever.. Felt... terrible, and had this stiff plastic like feel to it. This was also apparent with the Youtek Radical Pro.. except this one was strung with Pro Supex Big Ace 17 with Gamma Synthetic Crosses at 58lbs. Stiff as hell and felt absolutely terrible. Perhaps the Youtek racquets are just better suited for low to mid 50lbs of tension. |
