I think it's a GHOAT. It has all the right markings. Who cares though.

We'll never see them again.

Devastated.

Ok. Why is Federer wearing white socks?

Cool

Here's a twisted statement from the force of Mother Nature...the morning after Berdy wins a swarm of crows flies over me and one of them had target practice on my Workhorse GHOAT...I kid u not! She'll be getting a bath when I get home. Bad Berd!

It was the GHOAT material, you could tell when he switched to a fresh one mid match, it was no longer shiny as it wasn't wet.

A slight divergence on the thread - was Berdych wearing a standard Nike Dri-Fit Tee last night?

Nope. He was wearing the $58 Statement (or whatever name it has in 2012) tennis line he always wears

But in Cincy and toronto he was wearing the Ringer T which is more cotton than poly. I thought that was an interesting choice.

Thanks for the info - I'm more into running shirts than tennis shirts so I didn't know about the Statement line - it seems to be a similar variation on the sublimated running shirts.

I noticed that the Statement line contains Spandex which I generally don't like for tennis - is this material in the shoulders or all over the shirt. It didn't look like a form-fit shirt.

No worries. The spandex is throughout the shirt. It's not form-fitted at all when wearing your regular size, but it is quite stretchy all over. The sleeves are also quite long on this line, but no longer than a running shirts. For me, I far prefer the feel of the added spandex over plain poly but no doubt everyone has different preferences.

Anyhow, the GHOAT had a great tourny but I think all of it's sweat wicking powers will be eliminated come Saturday. I actually GHOATED in the black/lime last night, but with zero humidity couldn't come close to slicking it up into a Featherlight-esque monstrosity. Regardless, it's currently sudsing.

Yes, I finally got a good close up of the GHOAT on Berdych in the bright sunshine of todays match, and I could see the nubby texture of the fabric on his Carl GHOAT.

It most definitely had trademark GHOAT characteristics...the four-seamed bill and the inverted-U side panels. I had sweated quite a bit in my Night Ranger one day but it never "glossed up" when wet like Berdy's...different but same???

Never doubted it was GHOAT construction, Major Tom, I just thought the fabric looked too slick to be Trend Woven, and I had never seen any player sweat through the GHOAT like Berdych did, even in the hottest weather. That's what threw me!
By the way, my "workhorse" GHOAT is the white one you sold me; I wear it more often than any. I GHOATed it all day yesterday!

Cool

I need some more Basketball Elite socks so I'll make a trek up to the Schnike outlet next week and GHOATsafari while I'm there. Will poast with results...maybe the BerdGHOAT (shiny black) will appear for a close-up examination???

Interesting observation in a local Plaza like tennis shop:

The women's Nike Hats had very goatlike paneling. The Men's did not. I believe these were both dryfit featherlights.

Is the GHOAT dead? Officially dead?? :'(
A travesty, as well as a tragedy.....
