In Fed's case it is not so much about hitting long,I think it is all about him having to hit the heavy ball from Rafa on his B/H.When he is on the move with the ball being so heavy sometimes he doesn't quite hit the middle and it drops short.Rafa runs around and, well,we all know what comes next.Advantage Rafa.

I tracked down the Wilson rep.
Indeed, it is true, Fed will take 95sqi sticks out of his bag in between sets to see how they feel. Do some shadow swings. ![]()

So it is completely believable he will switch to a new 95" racquet because some rep from Wilson says so, what do you expect someone who works for Wilson to say.

JD, do you think his racquet will contain Cortex Crystals?

This thread reminds me of when I posted that. 22/21/21 is a familiar 93 we all should know.

Roger should slip some 90" sticks into Rafa;s bag the next time they play. Rafa will be too busy lining up his bottles to notice. then we'll know how much difference technology really makes

Yes, I realize that. But people who saw the actual match said that Federer was using a bigger racquet (at least in the first set).

I think he could use a frame with more forgiveness. He doesn't time it as well as he used to.

Did anyone see this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGnr5uuMysE
Looks larger to me. I also see that many people -don't- want him to change rackets more so than discussing whether or not he is changing rackets.

That close up on the Video is not his racket!!!! Its a shot from the other end, the strings are different as well. They have just used one for effect like they do at the aussie open
