So you think he changed mid-year? Seriously?

Much more likely.

Can anyone confirm with certainty if the beam width on the Six One Tour 90 is 17mm or 17.5mm. I'm hoping its 17mm or thinner.

17.5mm according to TW Europe.

It feels great in play. Are the current BLX models 18mm? I ask because the new frame feels more 'whippy'. BHBH

I predict this raquet will have a massive impact on how the game is played and taught.

The feel of the Basalt in the handle is simply astonishing.

Babilat will most likely try to duplicate with a Cortext shank fusionary process.

Forgive my poor English, but is this what you people call "taking a bite of the cherry" ?

What!!??

Only 36 inches?!

This racket has shockingly colorful paint. Blue, red, white, and yellow!! Crazy looking stick. Will be used on Tour by Kvitova, Gulbis, Nishikori, among others. Arguably the best one of the bunch. Felt like an Exo Red 105 in that it was very powerful and manueverable yet had tons of feel and control. This one will get the attention of Babolat followers which was the primary goal in its creation. Has new Amplifeel tech.

Pro Staff Six One 95 - 11.0 oz. Standard length

You've seen the all-white with red/gold trim paint job I'm sure. Wilson is trending after Babolat's concept of offering various versions of the Pro version of any given frame. (i.e. Pure Drive Roddick, Pure Drive, Pure Drive Lite) This is the middle child of the Federer line. The PS Six One 95 is an absolute beast and it will confuse the next step decision making process of most Six One 95 followers as they have also come out with a new version of the BLX Six One 95. I loved the lower swingweight of the PS Six One 95 and the added pop as compared to the BLX 95. I would guess flex rating to be 68 from the feel. Awesome stick, no doubt.

I'm tired of typing for now but did hit with the following as well:

-BLX Six One Team
-BLX Pro Open
-BLX Juice w/amplifeel
-Pro Staff Six One 90 (really cool!)
-Pro Staff Six One 100 (junior frame maybe..)
-BLX Tour (BLX Steam eradicates the need for this, Wilson rep agreed)
-BLX Surge (no more green which is sad. Is now black/red but still great)
-BLX Juice 108
-BLX Pro Open Limited
-BLX Pro Open Lite

Holler.
Holler,

You said the Pro Staff Six One 100 is a junior racquet maybe does that mean its bad in your opinion? I would like to hear what you think as I want to demo it but I am quite hesitant.

Thanks

-Tezuka

Thought this might be an awesome time to remind the author of this thread that Federer is still using the same frame.

Darn huh.

310 swingweight
(I'm making the arbitrary assumption that Drakulie's specimen, which he found to have 306 swingweight and weigh only 326 grams, was on the lighter side of the variation acceptable by Wilson QC)

This is very similar to the following light/low swingweight player's sticks (specs from TW University):

Babolat Pure Storm Limited GT (334g/31.5cm/308SW)
Donnay X Dual Gold 99 (334g/32cm/311SW)
Dunlop Aerogel 4D 100 (330g/32.2cm/310SW)
Dunlop 4D 300 Tour (334g/31.9cm/310SW)
Dunlop Aerogel 100 (329g/32.1cm/314SW)
Dunlop Bio 200 Lite (326g/32.4cm/308SW)
Volkl DNX 9 (325g/32.0cm/313SW)
Yonex VCore 95D (332g/32cm/311SW)
Yonex VCore 98D (325g/31.9cm/306SW)

For those who anticipate or know that this stick will be too light for them, some simple mods to match famous frames in the Pro Staff lineage:

To match Pro Staff 6.0 95/HPS 6.0 95 Tour:

2 grams of lead at 3&9
replace stock grip with Wilson leather (+10 grams)
stash 5 grams of lead inside the buttcap

Giving you: (346g/31cm/314SW)

To match Asian K/BLX 90:

5 grams from 3&9 to 2&10 (4 inches 1/4" tape from 21 to 25 inches from butt, centered at 23")

Giving you: (334g/32.4cm/319SW)

For those complaining this new frame is too light...well, it's not light enough to add leather and still match the Asian BLX 90.

To match Pro Staff 6.0 85:

7 grams at 3&9
Replace stock grip with leather
Wrap 9 grams (36 inches of 1/4" lead tape) around the handle at the top of the grip before putting on the leather.

Giving you: (355grams/31.5cm/324SW)

To match K90:

7 grams at 3&9
4 grams at 12 o'clock
Replace stock grip with leather
Stash 5-7 grams of lead in the buttcap

Giving you: (355 grams/31.7cm/336SW)

To match KPS88:

20 grams at 3&9! (You can have this stretch from 8 to 10 and 2 to 4)
Replace stock grip with leather

Giving you: (360g/32.5cm/348SW)
About this post, I just weighted the stock grip on the wilson psblx95 and it was around 18g and the 2 leather grips i have, 1 wilson (20g) and 1 fairway (23g)... is my scale off or something? because the diff between stock and leather is nowhere near those 10g here :S

Another bump to see if Zapvor's mythical Wilson rep feels suitably like a dunce yet? It's been almost two years now.

Doesn't older players usually go to bigger head ?? isn't that the normal course of evolution ?

No, your scale is OK. When I wrote that post I didn't know how much the stock grip on the PSBLX95 weighs. It's heavier than most synthetic base grips, as you found.
