Default Replacing a suspension grip Head Prestige Tour 600

OK, I've searched a lot on this topic with mixed results so is it possible to replace a damaged suspension grip for a Tour 600 or once broken is that it?

The racket was damaged when it slipped out of my hand, hit the ground frame first which "popped" the suspension grip out about 2 cm. I can't get it back in but would like to repair it somehow, or replace the suspension grip altogether?

Thanks

I think you are 'out of luck.' The suspension grip has broken away internally from where it attaches to the shaft of the racquet. (You did mention that it is sticking out by 2 cm.) If you can remove the rest of it from the handle, you may be able to salvage the racquet by using silicone inside the handle and lead tape for balance. Just my 2 cents.

esgee48 - thanks for you your reply.

I have stripped the grip down to the "core" (if you see what I mean) and I'm left with an irregularly shaped handle with several rubberized strips in groves which run along the length of it.

It's possible I might be able to re-assemble the handle and inject silicon inside, then use lead tape for balance as you suggest. However, I suspect you're right and that the racket is finished, which is a shame as I've used it for 6 years.

I have 3 others and have recently bought a replacement, but this was just a last ditch attempt to save it! These rackets are superb and I'd never play with anything else.

Thanks for your help.

Default Repair It

Anything can be repaired if a person is tenacious, creative and takes their time to analyse the problem. some people even say a problem is just a solution waiting to happen -like the hack, overused expression- American ingenuity .
If all else fails, take it to a high school industrial arts instructor. They can repair anything.

Congratulations. You are the proud owner of the world's first Prestige Tour Stretch.

This thread might have some info you can use. Evidently, there is a pin that holds the grip assembly in place and, once the pin is removed, the entire grip assembly comes out. If it comes out, I imagine you can re-insert it properly. You won't know if it will work until you try.
