...Floats thru the air with the greatest of ease!

Did you see him last night? Wow! I'm really starting to enjoy Gael ... He won these points and many more for the victory

I don't mind the slam dunk, but nice forehand.

He's quickly becoming one of my absolute favorite players! He's getting so much better, more consistent, more serious about his work on court...it's so good to see from such a talented and obviously athletic guy. Apparently he's a nice guy off court, too.

Vamos Monfils!!!!

Hah. Missed the best ones, where he pretended the point was over and did this 'ole' underhanded crap(two different points) and the totally pointless between the legs half-volley at 5-1 in the tiebreak.

agreed ... oddly, he actually seems to have improved since his split with rasheed

and this is one of his best outfits since he switched to KSwiss

Those were definitely interesting moments .... but I missed getting screen caps on them ... i started feeling sorry for dimitrov after a while cuz even after he stepped up his effort, he ended up in some very awkward positions: once he ran into the crowd and sat down to take a little break, and once he ended up on his knees, with the ball whizzing over his head!

I loved the aggressiveness he showed. He was playing smart, strategic, attacking tennis for the most part, and not just pushing, defensive style he falls into way too much.

Yeah, he's having a great hard court season since the split. It's interesting that he's playing better without really having a full time coach at the moment.

I saw him live earlier this month in DC, loads of fun to watch in person and really nice that he's getting more aggressive with his shots.

He's got power to spare when he chooses to use it plus he runs every ball down on defense: great combo.

Even though he does some ridiculous things that are probably detrimental to his game, it's entertaining. I think tennis needs that.

He needs to mix that in with actual winning tennis.

Athleticism second to none, showmanship beyond belief, intelligence of a potted plant.

That is true. I just like him for his pure entertainment value. If he put it all together and got really serious, he would be amazing. His brain just ain't always there.

I used to think that, too

but since his split from rasheed it seems to me he's winning more.

for instance, does anyone know the end of that coaching relationship compared to when monfils became world no. 7??????
